Scholarships for International Students


A lot of UK universities offer scholarships, especially to non-European students. Find out about some of fantastic scholarships on offer for international students below.

The University of Leeds

‘The Business School International Scholarship’ is worth £7,500 (£2,500 a year for two years). This award is merit-based, and is open to international students who apply to Business School undergraduate degree courses.

The University of Nottingham

The University of Nottingham provide scholarships based on your nationality. To find out if you are eligible, click here.

Glasgow Caledonian University

The ‘International Scholarships’ are worth up to £2,500 for study in 2014/15. All non-European students who are self funded will be eligible.

The University of Sussex

‘The Cate Haste Scholarship’ is an award of £5,500 for self-funded students who applied for one of the following Masters degrees:

  • MA in Film making
  • MA in Digital Media
  • MA in Digital Documentary
  • MA in Journalism and Documentary Practice
  • MA in Media Practice for Development and Social Change

Cardiff University

Cardiff University provides ‘Country Specific Scholarships’ worth £5000. Click here to see if your country is listed.

Aston University

‘Aston Excellence Scholarship’ is an award of £4,000 for international students. Academic excellence is also an important selection criteria.
