The University of Aberdeen was founded in 1945, it is one of the oldest universities in Europe and the fifth oldest in the UK. Old Aberdeen’s King’s College, home to the university’s original foundation and now the main university site, is situated just one mile from the city centre, a 15th century city that brings a genuine sense of history to modern university life.

The University of Aberdeen has been awarded Four Nobel Prizes for work either completed or initiated at the university, and boasts an international reputation that bears testament to a long tradition of excellence and innovation.
