Overview
The London School of Film, Media and Performance is a new addition to Regent’s College London’s Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences. Led by Head of School David Hanson (BAFTA, Ace and Golden Rose of Montreux award winner), the school takes Regent's College’s established ethos of internationalism and practical learning and applies it to the creative industries. Access to the Film Industry, Theatre, Radio, Music and Media Management is offered through an Acting Foundation Course, BA (Hons) Creative Industries, BA (Hons) Screenwriting and Producing, BA (Hons) Acting and Global Theatre and an MA Writing for Screen and Stage.
Location
The Central London campus is close to the West End theatre district, live music hotspot Camden Town, the BBC, film studios in Shepperton and Ealing and numerous media companies in Soho, allowing students the chance to immerse themselves in London’s vibrant film, music and theatre culture, both as customers and as interns. The London School of Film, Media and Performance places a strong emphasis on practical experience in the creative industries sector and undergraduate courses feature a 4-6 week Industry Placement, assisted and overseen by the Careers and Business Relations department. Undergraduate courses also include an Industry Skills module to help prepare students for their Industry Placements and a Professional Skills module to help students build on their Industry Placements and plan and prepare for graduate employment in the Creative Industries.
