The University of Central Lancashire (or UCLan) is a university based in Preston, Lancashire, England, UK.The university is the fifth largest in the UK in terms of student numbers and is ranked as the best modern university in the north west of England.
UCLan offers more than 500 undergraduate courses and 200 postgraduate courses.They offer a vibrant and diverse home to 35,000 students, including over 100 nationalities. In addition to the main city centre campus, they have facilities in Burnley, Westlakes in Cumbria and Llangollen Outdoor Centre in North Wales. The campus is clean, green and compact. More than £120 million has recently been invested on buildings for teaching, learning and leisure, including the iconic Media Factory for media and performing arts students, and new facilities for dentistry, pharmacy and engineering. If you’re interested in sport, there’s a multi-million pound sports arena about a mile from campus, which offers some of the best facilities in the Northwest and we’re busy building a new indoor sport and fitness centre.

Accommodation
The University has in the region of 2000 accommodation places in halls of residence for first year students. The Halls listed here are either owned directly by the University or leased by UCLan and are located within, or very close by, the heart of the main campus. Each hall is self-catering and prices include all fuel and water bills. There is free Internet access. Every bedroom also has a study desk and chair, chest of drawers, wardrobe, wash hand basin. There are also adapted rooms in the halls for those students with disabilities.
