Study A-Levels in the UK

The Advanced Level, universally referred to as an A-Level, is a qualification offered by education institutions in the UK. Typically in Scotland, students take Highers and Advanced Highers of the Scottish Qualifications Certificate. A-Levels are usually studied over a two year period and are widely recognised around the world. A-levels are the standard qualifications that UK universities use to assess a students eligbility for a degree course.

A-Level Programs in the UK

A large number also study A-levels at a dedicated Further Education College (occassionally referred to as a tertiary college), which tend to offer a wider array of vocational courses. The qualification is the most common method used by UK universities to determine an applicant's suitability for academic subjects.
