At
ETC, they combine a professional approach with a friendly atmosphere so that their international clients feel comfortable and at home while studying with us. They recruit staff members who are committed to
providing a supportive environment and a solid framework for learning. They only recruit English teachers who have
minimum qualifications of a degree and the Cambridge CELTA and subject teachers
who have a degree and an appropriate subject qualification. Relevant experience is vital for all academic
staff. Their use of modern methodology and
learning resources is aimed at giving their clients the language skills, subject
knowledge and opportunities they need to make measurable progress against their
own individual learning objectives. They aim to make every student responsible for his or her own learning plan and they recognise that each client has their own needs, interests and preferred
learning styles – necessarily, they have adapted a methodology to take this
into account.
In order to help their clients to progress on to further and higher education in
the UK, they have developed a successful University Foundation Programme and an
IELTS exam preparation course and established progression routes to high ranking
FE and HE institutions, such as Bournemouth and Poole College, Bournemouth
University, the University of Plymouth and Middlesex University, to name just a
few.
