The Ede & Ravenscroft Prize (£1,000) is awarded annually to the University's best research student. This year's winner is Joe Kinrade, from the Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering.
KTA film: Collaborating with RUH to improve diagnosis of dementia

A KTA-funded video: Dr Nathan Smith (Electronic & Electrical Engineering) worked with physicists from Nuclear Medicine departments in Bristol and Bath to create a database of normal brain blood-flow, using an imaging technique known as SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography). This database could help to improve the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease across the UK.

New Professor will take maths at Bath to another dimension

We are delighted to announce the arrival of Professor Anthony Dooley who joins our Department of Mathematical Sciences from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Australia. Professor Dooley works across a broad area of mathematical analysis, a branch of mathematics that can be applied to diverse fields such as economic and financial modelling, and climate and weather prediction.
