English courses in Edinburgh
If you do not achieve the English grades required by the University of Edinburgh, you can improve your language skills at the University's Institute for Applied Language Studies (IALS). English language courses run throughout the year, including through the summer, so you can take extra classes and an examination in Edinburgh prior to your degree course starting in September.
To take a course at IALS you must have an IELTS 4.5 or TOEFL 450 or equivalent.
The length of study is determined by the level attained prior to the course.
