SI-UK and Lancaster University are delighted to invite international and EU students to join us for a special lecture on Wednesday 27th February at The Work Foundation which will be presented by Dr Catherine Salzedo, a teaching Fellow in accounting and finance.
The event is open to all, free of charge and places will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis, so please register to avoid disappointment.
The afternoon will begin with a 45-minute presentation from Dr Catherine Salzedo on "Investing for the Social Good - A range of accounting and finance careers”, followed by a short break for refreshments. Lancaster University alumni will then take to the stage to talk further about their experiences at the University. Once the presentations have been concluded, SI-UK and Lancaster will be meeting students on a one-to-one basis.
How can you use your accounting and financial skills to work on some of the biggest global challenges we face? Dr Catherine Salzedo of Lancaster University will be discussing a range of careers where you can use your numerical and analysis skills to improve society, help those in need and change the world, showing practical examples of the skills and knowledge required to get ahead.
Dr Salzedo is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and teaches accounting and finance at Lancaster University.
