University of Gloucestershire Academic Merit Scholarship (September 2019 and 2020 Entry)

Worth up to £1,200 (£400 maximum per year).

Definitions

In these terms and conditions the following words shall have the following meanings.

Commencement Date: the date you start the course.

Course: any LLB, FdA, FdSc course or BA/BSc incorporating the Foundation Study Framework offered by the University of Gloucestershire with a £9250 tuition fee.

Enrol/Enrolling: The process of enrolling online onto the course.

Halls of Residence Rent Discount: A fixed monetary discount on accommodation owned and managed by the University of Gloucestershire.

The Academic Merit Scholarship award

Recipients of the University of Gloucestershire's Academic Merit Scholarship will receive £1,200 in the form of a voucher to the value of £400 annually. This will allow the recipient to utilise the amount towards areas that support the student within the educational experience:

  • Halls of Residence Rent Discount
  • Course Level Credit Programme
  • 2 x book vouchers of £200 to support study

Eligibility

Before you can apply or be considered for a scholarship you must ensure that you:

  • Have been offered a place on a course and made a firm (CF, UF) commitment to University of Gloucestershire during the UCAS admissions phase
  • Will be a new entrant student to the University for the 2019-20 or 2020-2021 academic years and starting on level 4 of your course.
  • Are a September intake student
  • Will be starting on the first year of a full-time undergraduate degree that charges the full University tuition fee from the new 2017 fee arrangements
  • Will meet the normal course entry requirements
  • Are resident in the UK or eligible for home fees
  • Have obtained the required grades from the approved listed of qualifications

Application process

If you satisfy this entire criteria above, the University of Gloucestershire will notify you of your award after the 30th of August 2019 and further information will be forwarded to you on the selection process.

Award process

We aim to complete the process and confirm awards by 30 September 2019 or 30 September 2020.
