For students achieving ABB or higher in A-level or certain other equivalent qualifications who also hold GCSE Maths and English grade C (or grade 4) or above. Further criteria also apply.
Scholarships are available for home or EU* students entering full-time undergraduate degree programmes at the university who hold high A-level grades or equivalent qualifications and are paying the maximum fee of £9,250.
Successful students will be awarded a scholarship of £2,000. This will be offered as a cash award paid termly. In order to qualify for the award in subsequent years, students must have completed 120 credits per year and gained an overall mark of 65% for each year studied.
*Selected EU qualifications are from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Italy, Lithuania & Romania Only. EU National, As defined by the Education (Student Support) Regulations 2011, Part 2 Schedule 1 (UK and related category Nationals and EU Nationals). Students who hold at least one of the qualification/grade combinations as per below and fit the published criteria will be considered part of the High Achievement Scholarship population by the University of Greenwich.
Am I eligible?
In order to qualify, you must have A-level grades ABB or above, or equivalent qualifications as well as GCSE Maths and English at grade C (or grade 4) or above (see the equivalent qualifications for EU GCSE equivalents). Your application must be for a taught programme that requires on-campus attendance on one of the university's main campuses, Avery Hill, Greenwich or Medway (online or distance learning students cannot apply). You must also hold the University of Greenwich as a firm choice on your university application or alternatively have been offered a place in clearing or through adjustment.
Students eligible for the High Achievement Scholarship will not be considered for a Greenwich Scholarship or Access Scholarship. Students eligible for the High Achievement Scholarship may also be eligible for the Care Leaver Bursary provided that they meet the applicable criteria.

We aim to make decisions of eligibility on the basis of the information presented on your application form and so there is no need to make a separate application to be considered for the High Achievement Scholarship.
