About the Award

Keele University, in conjunction with the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, is delighted to offer 6 Shared Scholarships. These awards cover tuition fees and living expenses for the duration of a one year taught master’s programme to be studied at Keele University. Applications are open to students from developing countries within the Commonwealth who intend to study one of the following courses:

To be eligible to apply you must:

  • Be a national of (or permanently domiciled in) a developing Commonwealth country, and not currently be living or studying in a developed country (please see the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships website for a list of eligible countries)
  • hold a first degree at either first or upper second class level and meet the academic entry requirements for your intended course of study
  • be sufficiently fluent in English to pursue the course and have an IELTS score of 6.5 overall with no less than 5.5 in each subtest
  • not have previously studied for one year or more in a developed country
  • be able to confirm in writing that neither you nor your family would otherwise be able to pay for the proposed course of study
  • be willing to confirm that you will return to your home country as soon as your period of study is complete

This award is for international fee payers only and can not be combined with any other University funded scholarship or bursary which is intended for international fee paying students. In cases where an applicant is eligible for more than one award, the highest value award will be applied.
