Commonwealth Scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development.

These scholarships are funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and offered through the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK (CSC). The University of Salford is proud to support the Commonwealth Scholarships scheme, through a part funding agreement.

Value of award:

100% tuition fee, monthly stipend, return airfares, and other allowances (as applicable).

Number of awards:

Around 800 per year, including scholarships for Master’s, PhD, and split-site (PhD) study.

  • Academic merit of the candidate
