We are offering a total of 21 BPTC awards that could help you to finance your BPTC and support you in preparing for a career as a barrister. The awards include:

  • Master / Mistress of Moots - 1 award of £6,500
  • Senior Scholars - 2 awards of £4,000
  • Advocacy Scholarships - 12 awards of £2,500 (London)
  • Advocacy Scholarships - 6 awards of £2,000 (Birmingham / Leeds)

Entry criteria: 

You must obtain (or expect to be awarded) at least an Upper Second Class degree or international equivalent.

Personal information required:

  • Full name
  • Name of institution studying/ have studied with
  • Confirmation have obtained (or expect to be awarded) an Upper Second Class degree (or international equivalent)
  • Confirmation of household income
  • Any challenges you may be facing that would not allow you to continue your studies

Process:

As part of your application process you will be invited to attend a selection event. Your performance at this event will be reviewed and the various awards will be decided by the BPTC selection panel.
