A looped visual powerpoint presentation of the highlights of the years 1959 to 1966 will run throughout the dinner. An exhibition of formal photographs and memorabilia will be on display during the Reception. Tables will be allocated according to year groups so that old friends can dine together; a lay-out of tables, years and names will be on display at the Reception. QUB folders with copies of memorabilia will be presented to all participants. The cost per head is £50.00.

The class of 1967 will celebrate their 45th reunion on the 15th and 16th June 2012. There is a link to the Reunion venue, the Radisson Hotel, Limavady (www.radissonroepark.com).Booking is by credit card (but no deduction is made until checking out of the hotel). The Reunion is on Friday 15th, Saturday 16th, and Sunday 17th June 2012.However, we want to maximize the use of the time, so we will have arrangements for much of Friday and Sunday, for those who are not pushed for time.eg golfers, walkers, etc. As previously stated, there is the opportunity to book further accommodation before and after the nights of the 15th and 16th.

Registration is now open for The FOURTH UK-US MEDICAL SOCIOLOGY CONFERENCE which will be held from June 14-16 at Queen’s University in Belfast. The Fourth US-UK Medical Sociology conference is a meeting designed to bring together scholars with common interests in a small group-setting to network, debate, share ideas and forge new ground in medical sociology. Participation is limited to approximately 100 delegates. Previous conferences at Royal Holloway, Edinburgh and Boston have been very successful, so we suggest early registration for participants. This is a residential conference and thus all participants will stay at one of the conference accommodations options. All attendees take meals together and attend all plenary sessions and working groups. The registration fee is all-inclusive except for accommodation. University accommodation is available at a very reasonable cost. The Conference convenes on June 14 at 5:00 pm and continues through 3:00 pm on June 16. US and UK Ph.D. students can apply for funding bursaries for Registration and Accommodation (consult the website). Applications for Ph.D. student funding are due by February 15, 2012. Professor Anita Rampal, Dean of the Faculty of Education, University of Delhi, India with Professor Ruth Leitch, School of Education, Queen’s University. This workshop is open to students (and staff) who are interested in learning more about creative possibilities for engaging children and young people in research. Professor Rampal has had extensive experience of researching with children (e.g. literacy campaigns) in India using creative verbal and visual methods and Professor Leitch will share her experience of analysing visual images and children’s narratives. Cross-cultural differences will be discussed. Students may bring children's writings/recordings/drawings and activities and commentary will be provided on possibilities for understanding/analysing such data with children.
