The M&D Pre-Med® is taught at University degree level, using the outstanding facilities of Birkbeck, University of London. We are recruiting now for January & September 2011 entry.

Providing Secure Pathways to Medical or Dental School

Students on the M&D Pre-Med® have the option to apply to a UK Medical or Dental school, receiving help with their applications and in the past over 25% of students have been successfully offered a place.

Students also have the option to continue into the second year of a Bachelor of Science degree and re-apply for Medicine or Dentistry as a graduate.

Furthermore, our students also have the option of apply for priority places to study Medicine or Dentistry in the Caribbean, Spain or Eastern Europe.

The M&D Pre-Med® Programme

The M&D Pre-Med® is a unique 1-year programme taught in central London on the campuses of Birkbeck College, University of London. It is validated by the University of Buckingham, awarding successful graduates a Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE.) in Medical Science qualification. The M&D Pre-Med® has been developed for students who have been unsuccessful at getting an offer to Medical or Dental school, students who want to increase their chances of getting an offer, and students who want a variety of opportunities to follow their dream of studying medicine or dentistry.

The course offers students a strong understanding of medical science taught at the first year of university degree level. Taught to a strong foundation of theoretical knowledge and real-world application through a range of teaching methodologies, such as lectures, small group tutorial sessions, one-to-one personal tutoring, seminars, practical and medical simulation exercises.

M&D Foundation Programme

The M&D Foundation is especially suitable for students who either do not have a strong science background or process international qualifications that are not being accepted. This programme forms a science foundation to prepare students to study Medicine, Dentistry or Medical Science at university level.

Students on our programmes benefit from UKCAT and UCAS personal statement preparation, as well as excellent interview practice and techniques. These are conducted by experienced advisors, who have helped double the chances of Medical or Dental school entry in the UK for many students.
