The UCL Language Centre
The UCL Language Centre offers preparatory courses for international students which satisfy UCL’s English language proficiency requirements, and are also accepted by a number of other UK universities.

UCL Diploma in English for Academic Purposes: www.ucl.ac.uk/deap
The UCL Diploma in English for Academic Purposes is an intensive three-term English language, study and research skills course taught over 32 weeks. This course is ideal for students who wish to progress to postgraduate level study.
Receive an offer of a Diploma place (beginning in January), or Extended Pre-sessional Course (beginning in May) at the SI-UK University Fair in London on 20 November. Our Admissions Tutor will be available from 2-5pm that day.

These Academic English courses are designed for international students who are planning to study on a graduate degree programme at either University College London or at another UK institution immediately after completion of the course in September. Many course participants will already hold a conditional or unconditional offer of a place on a Master’s or PhD programme.

An undergraduate foundation course for international students. These courses are for students who have completed their Secondary / High School education overseas with qualifications that do not allow them direct entry to UCL’s undergraduate degree programmes. Over one academic year, the courses provide an intensive preparation for the academic and linguistic challenges of a top UK degree programme.
