  • To be considered for the scholarship, it is necessary to have been offered and accepted admission to the University for an eligible programme of undergraduate study for entry in the academic year 2022/23.

  • No further application is required.  Selection will be based on academic achievement, as evidenced through outstanding performance in the examinations or assessments (qualifications) offered by the student in order to gain admission to the University.

  • The scholarship will take the form of a tuition fee reduction and is applied for each year of study.

  • Recipients must be classified by the University as an International student for fees purposes.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Scholarship candidates must:

  • Apply for and be admitted to a University of Reading undergraduate programme (including Integrated Foundation Year and M level qualifications but excluding Degree Apprenticeship study) commencing in the academic year 2022/23.

  • Demonstrate to the University outstanding academic achievement.

  • Ensure their admission status is Unconditional Firm, no later than 1700 UK time on 7September 2022.

  • Not already be in receipt of a full tuition fee scholarship.

  • Be classified by the University as an international student for fees purposes.

  • Have completed all the appropriate degree course admission processes of the University, including the provision of any such evidence of compliance with the Eligibility Criteria and evidence to demonstrate academic achievement as the University may reasonably require.

Terms and Conditions

  • The Scholarship will only be offered to students who satisfy the Eligibility Criteria and the Terms and Conditions.

  • The Scholarship is valid for entry in the 2022/23 academic year only. Students selected for the Scholarship who subsequently defer entry to 2023/24 will not be entitled to carry the funding over to the following year.

  • Candidates in receipt of a partial tuition fee scholarship or bursary from an outside organisation or through another University of Reading award can combine this with the Scholarship, provided that the total annual value of financial aid does not amount to more than the total annual cost of tuition Recipients of the Scholarship are required to advise the University if their financial situation changes, for example they are subsequently.
