The International Office Postgraduate Taught Scholarship award is exclusively for new international students.
Students must hold an offer for a place on a full-time postgraduate taught programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus, starting in the academic year 2023/24 and prior to commencement of study have met any academic and language conditions attached to their offer as stated in their offer letter.
Students must be classified as international fee-paying students paying the full international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for this discount. Students paying NI or GB fees are not eligible for the International Office Postgraduate Taught Scholarship.
The discount is awarded for the first year of study only and is deducted from gross tuition fees upon enrolment.
The scholarship cannot be used in lieu of any required deposit and no cash alternative is available.
Any International Office Postgraduate Taught Scholarship awarded is for entry to Queen’s University Belfast in the autumn semester of the academic year 2023/24 and cannot be used for 2024/25 entry or any other year.
If you wish to defer your entry to the University your scholarship will not be transferred. However, you will be automatically assessed if you chose to defer your entry until 2024/25.
Students must be self-funded.
Where Queen’s University Belfast has agreed discounted tuition fees with partner institutions, those students should confirm their eligibility with the International Office by emailing International Scholarships
If you are in receipt of funding (either tuition fees or tuition fees and living costs) from an external sponsorship body such as Government, a charity or a private organisation you will not be eligible for an International Office Postgraduate Taught Scholarship. This excludes students in receipt of educational loans.
The following programmes are excluded from eligibility for the International Office Postgraduate Taught Scholarship:
Postgraduate: PG Certificate and PG Diploma programmes, MTh Theology.
All Queen's Management Postgraduate Taught programmes including Master of Business Administration (MBA)
ALL Distance Learning programmes, foundation degree programmes and non-standard fee courses, including part-time programmes.
MSc (T) Applied Behaviour Analysis
If you exit on a lower qualification (i.e., a PG Diploma instead of a Master's degree), you will not be eligible for the full scholarship.
This award is exclusively for new international students who are beginning their first year of full-time undergraduate study in Queen's University Belfast in the academic year 2023/24 and meet the conditions of their academic offer.

Students must request authorisation from the International Office before making any changes to their programme of study. Where changes are made without authorisation being granted, the scholarship may be withdrawn, and students may be required to repay the scholarship in full.
In the event that a student has received scholarship offers for a number of different programmes at Queen’s University Belfast, they will only be able to redeem one scholarship award. This will be the scholarship award for the course onto which they enrol in the 2023/24 academic year.
Applicants may apply and/or be considered for more than one award administered by Queen’s University Belfast but if successful would receive only the highest value award with the lower value award cancelled or allocated to another applicant, with the exception of the Early Confirmation Award, INTO Progression Scholarship or Brickfields Exceptional Student Scholarship where applicable.
International scholarships cannot be used in conjunction with any other University scholarship. Where eligible students can use their scholarship in conjunction with the Early Confirmation Award or INTO Progression Scholarship.
The University is unable to consider requests for increased and/or further funding. The amount of scholarship offered is non-negotiable.
The University reserves the right to vary all or any scholarship awards, discounts and regulations at its sole discretion.

Four scholarships offering a 50% reduction on full tuition fees are available to exceptionally talented international students paying international tuition fee rates who will be starting their full-time undergraduate studies on an eligible programme at Queen’s University Belfast in the academic year 2023/24.
A 50% reduction on full tuition fees paid for all years of the programme, up to a maximum of four years (including advanced entry into Year 2 or Year 3) will be offered to the successful candidate who will be studying one the following programmes:

The offer must be confirmed as the applicant’s FIRM choice by their UCAS deadline.
Only the programmes listed under Point 1 are eligible for the Vice Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship-Undergraduate 2023/24, all other programmes are excluded from eligibility.
Distance Learning programmes, foundation degree programmes and non-standard fee courses, including part-time programmes are also excluded from eligibility.
To be eligible for consideration applicants must have accepted their offer of a place to study on one of the specified programmes by the scholarship deadline. Applicants who change their original programme choice after the scholarship deadline 15:00 BST 8 June 2023 will not be considered.
Prior to commencement of study applicants must have met any academic and language conditions attached to their offer as stated in their offer letter.
Students must be classified as international fee-paying students paying the full international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for the scholarship. Students paying NI or GB fees are not eligible for the Vice Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship-Undergraduate.
The scholarship will cover 50% of the full cost of tuition fees and is awarded each year for up to a maximum of four years.
To be eligible for the scholarship applicants must complete the online application form and submit a video as detailed on the application form within the deadline, 15:00 BST 8 June 2023.
Applicants should ensure that videos are submitted in good time. Any videos received after the deadline 15:00 BST 8 June 2023 will not be considered.
The Vice Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship-Undergraduate awarded is for entry to Queen’s University Belfast in the autumn semester of the academic year 2023/24 and cannot be used for 2024/25 entry or any other year.
If you wish to defer your entry to the University your scholarship will not be transferred.
Students must be self-funded.
If you are in receipt of funding (either tuition fees or tuition fees and living costs) from an external sponsorship body such as Government, a charity or a private organisation you will not be eligible for the Vice Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship-Undergraduate.

Students must be classified as international fee-paying students paying the full international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for this discount. Students paying NI and GB fees are not eligible for the Queen’s Loyalty Scholarship.
Students must be Queen’s University alumni, Exchange, Study Abroad, International Summer School or AHSS Winter School Students who have successfully completed the full duration of their previous programme with Queen’s University Belfast. Students progressing from INTO Queens are not eligible.
Students must complete an application form via the Queen’s University Belfast website to verify their previous programme of study.

Terms and Conditions
The Queen’s Family Scholarship is exclusively available to new international students beginning a full duration programme at Queen's University Belfast in the academic year 2023/24.
Undergraduate programmes must have a minimum of 3 years at Queen's University Belfast starting in the academic year 2023/24.
The Queen’s Family Scholarship is available to the grandchildren, children or siblings of current Queen’s University Belfast students or Queen’s University Belfast Alumni. Stepchildren and step siblings will also be eligible subject to point 6 below.
The scholarship may only be claimed by students whose grandparent, parent or sibling is currently pursuing, or has already completed, a full duration undergraduate or postgraduate programme at Queen's University Belfast. (All years of programme must be completed at Queen’s University Belfast).
Students must be classified as international fee-paying students paying the full international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for this discount. Students paying NI/GB/EU fees are not eligible for the Queen’s Family Scholarship.
Students must complete an application form via the Queen’s University Belfast website to claim the Scholarship.
Students wishing to avail of the Queen’s Family Scholarship may be required to provide additional verification of their relationship to the current Queen’s University Belfast student or Queen’s University Belfast Alumni through whom they are claiming the Scholarship.

The Queen’s Management School Scholarship for South Asia is available only to students from South Asia who hold an offer for a place on a full-time postgraduate taught programme at the Queen’s Management School, starting in the academic year 2023/24 and prior to commencement of study have met any academic and language conditions attached to their offer as stated in their offer letter.
Only those applicants who are ordinarily resident in one of the following countries are eligible for this award: Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan or Sri Lanka.

Notification of their scholarship award will be issued to eligible candidates shortly after they have received their offer of a place at the University.
