St Mary’s University, London is a modern, friendly institution with a caring atmosphere, a strong academic record and high student satisfaction rates. Students of St Mary's benefit from over 165 years of tradition and expertise in teaching at a historic and scenic campus based in Twickenham. With a campus also based in Greater London, St Mary’s is both local and global. St Mary’s has nearly 6,000 students across four academic Schools offering 34 undergraduate degree programmes, 24 postgraduate programmes, available to study on a full-time and part-time basis, as well as study abroad and Erasmus programmes.
Undergraduate students also have the option of undertaking practical part-time work placements, or a one-year (paid) industry placement (across some subjects), organised by the Centre for Workplace Learning which links academic learning to personal and professional development, aiding future career prospects.

Analysis from the Times Higher Education (THE) has found that St Mary’s University, Twickenham is the highest riser following the publication of the 2021 Research Excellence Framework (REF). The REF league table in THE also found that St Mary’s was the highest riser in the overall grade point average (GPA) rankings.
All international undergraduate students are guaranteed university accommodation, providing you confirm your place by the May deadline. On-campus accommodation is available and very affordable for London starting from £5,162 per academic year. The prices include a meal package (term time only) that includes breakfast Monday to Friday, brunch on Saturday and Sunday and a meal every evening. All meals are taken in the campus refectory, which has an extensive menu to suit a variety of needs.
Postgraduate students have a wide range of options open to them from local halls of residence, shared student housing and private homestay accommodation. Students can also have peace of mind in knowing that the University is in the safest borough in London.
St Mary’s University, London is located in Strawberry Hill, Twickenham, a beautiful residential area of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Teddington and Twickenham are within walking distance and offer a good range of shops, restaurants and pubs. Several famous sights can be found close by including the River Thames, Hampton Court Palace and The Royal Botanical Gardens in Kew. For fresh air, nearby Richmond and Bushy Parks have hundreds of acres of beautiful, secluded woodland for get-away-from-it-all walks and bike rides alongside roaming deer.
The campus is only five minute walk from Strawberry Hill Rail Station, where regular trains will take you to central London in under 30 minutes so you can enjoy all of London’s best attractions. The city has an abundance of museums, historical landmarks, art galleries, world-recognised shops and lively venues for you to explore.
