Sheffield Hallam named ‘Best Education Institution’ by the independent games association

Sheffield Hallam University has been named 'Best Educational Institution' by TIGA, the independent games association, at an awards ceremony in London.

The awards, which celebrate the best in creativity, innovation and business in the UK games industry, recognises Sheffield Hallam's games courses for being world leading, having strong links with industry, and resulting in high proportions of students going into graduate level jobs. The University's in-house student games development studio, Steel Minions, was shortlisted in the 'Educational Initiative and Talent Development' category, and the Sheffield Hallam student-made PlayStation 4 game PieceFall for the ‘Game with a Purpose (Small Studio)’ award.
