Winchester, home to the University of Winchester, has been voted the best place to live in the UK for quality of life by banking company Halifax.

The town is located just one hour from London and a high proportion (96.6 per cent) of residents are reported being in good or fairly good health compared to a national average of 94.6 per cent. Winchester also boasts better job prospects than many other UK cities.

In addition, the University offers 100% student satisfaction rates in subjects such as American Studies, Education Studies, English with American Literature, Event Management, Performing Arts, Sports Studies, and Theology, Religion and Ethics.
