Bath Spa University’s origins date back to 1852 and the original Bath School of Art, it has built  its reputation on more than 160 years of tradition and success. But despite the long history it is modern and progressive, with an exciting mix of courses and structures. The university is growing steadily too, with exciting new courses and areas of research.

The academic team is dedicated to high-quality teaching, and will do all they can to give help and guidance in each student's learning and development. It scored 89% for satisfaction with teaching in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2014.

Through partnerships with businesses, students would get a wide range of career pathways and employment opportunities. About 93% of Bath Spa graduates find themselves in work or further study after six months, and in 2013, the university had the highest recorded number of graduates known to be in work.

There’s a welcoming and supportive approach and the university works hard to promote an ethos of care. Students have access to all sorts of services – not just guidance and support from tutors, but advice on anything from practical issues, like finances and disability support, right through to emotional matters, like homesickness. Ask any student and they’ll probably tell you they get great support. ‘Green Focus’ environmental policies have ranked the university 28 out of 143 universities in the People and Planet Green League 2015 - 'First Class Honours'.
