International students who progress to further full time study with Glasgow Caledonian University are eligible for up to £5,000 off their course tuition fees.

Who can apply

The fee discounts are applicable to self-funded full time international students only.

Undergraduate self-funded international students must have successfully completed:

  • a GCU Summer School
  • or an exchange programme at GCU

Postgraduate self-funded international students must have successfully completed:

  • an undergraduate degree from GCU (must have graduated)
  • or a GCU Summer School
  • or an exchange programme at GCU

What is the scholarship

  • Undergraduate students receive £2,000 towards their first annual fees and £1,000 for each subsequent year of their full time degree. Up to £5,000 over four years.
  • Postgraduate students receive £2,000 towards the first year of their annual tuition fees and £1,000 for any subsequent year of full time study.

Receiving the discount

You will automatically receive the fee discount when you are offered a place on your chosen course, and at the time of invoicing for each subsequent year of your degree if you meet the criteria above.

Terms and conditions

  • CPD and short courses are not eligible for this discount.
  • Where a student is eligible for both an Loyalty Fee Discount and another Scholarship, the highest discount applies.
  • Discounts cannot be backdated.
  • students who are sponsored by employers/governments are not eligible for this award
