Applicant and course eligibility criteria
Applicants must hold an offer for a taught master's course (180 credits) at Manchester Metropolitan University, unless specifically stated.
Bar Training Course (BTC) is eligible for the scholarship, provided all the other conditions are met.
This offer is only available for programmes commencing in September 2024 or January 2025.
The Scholarship offer will only be applied to postgraduate programmes consisting of a minimum of 180 credits, unless specifically stated.
MFA courses are eligible, providing the full 180 credits are taken in year one, and the full overseas fee is charged.
Eligible applicants will be awarded a £3,000 Scholarship.
Students studying part-time will be eligible for the Scholarship providing they are paying overseas fees. The scholarship will be awarded on a pro-rata basis, in proportion to the tuition fees charged, which means they will receive a proportion of the scholarship in each year of their course
International qualifications will be compared with Manchester Metropolitan University’s internal guidelines and all decisions made by the University’s Admissions Department regarding degree classifications are final and cannot be appealed.
Only courses being taught on the Manchester Campus, are eligible.
Applicants must be self-funding and classified as overseas students for tuition fee purposes.
Applicants must successfully meet all conditions set for entry onto their chosen course of study.
Exclusions
The following programmes/categories of programmes are excluded from this Scholarship offer:
Any postgraduate programme delivered by the Manchester School of Architecture
PGCE
MSc Place Management and Leadership
Apprenticeship courses
Any other postgraduate programme that does not lead to a master’s degree, with the exception of Bar Training Course
Undergraduate students from outside the UK, who will pay full overseas tuition fees.

Applicants must hold an offer for a full-time, taught undergraduate degree programme at Manchester Metropolitan University, and begin their studies in September 2024.
Part-time programmes are eligible and the award. The scholarship will be awarded on a pro-rata basis in proportion to the tuition fees charged which means you will receive a proportion of the scholarship in each year of your course.
The following programmes are eligible:
3-year Bachelor’s degree
4-year Bachelor’s degree, including an integrated study abroad or placement year (Scholarship is not payable for the year spent on study abroad or placement)
4-year Bachelor’s degree, including an integrated foundation year programme
4-year integrated Master’s degree
Students with advanced standing and joining a degree programme at level 5 or 6 are eligible, providing all course and applicant-related terms and conditions are met.
One-year top-up degree courses are eligible for the Scholarship, as long as all course and applicantrelated terms and conditions are met.
Only courses being taught on the Manchester Campus, are eligible.
Applicants must be self-funding and classified as overseas students for tuition fee purposes.
Scholarships are only available for new undergraduate Manchester Metropolitan University students, current students moving from one course to another are not eligible.

Become a Manchester Met Sports Scholar
To be a sports scholar, athletes must meet the following criteria:
be currently enrolled on an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course at Manchester Met, or in the process of applying to become a Manchester Met student for the next academic year.
be competing at a regional, national, or international standard in your chosen sport or show evidence of significant future sporting potential.
participate in a sport recognised by Sport England with priority given to individuals whose sport features within the British Universities & Colleges Sport BUCS programme.
be able to represent Manchester Metropolitan University in your sport.
