De Montfort University (DMU) is dedicated to supporting our scholars with a bespoke and holistic performance programme that is tailored to support each scholar’s needs. We support all our scholars to excel and reach their sporting potential, whilst allowing them to succeed in their academic studies. DMUsport scholars are awarded up to £6,000 of financial support. This includes a cash bursary of up to £4,000 and up to £2,000 value in kind funding that can be used for sport-specific costs. We have an experienced team of experts that supports each scholar. Our elite performance package includes personalised strength and conditioning training, educational performance workshops, nutrition and psychology guidance and performance lifestyle support. We are an ambitious sports institution and have recently invested millions of pounds into state-of-the-art facilities. All DMUsport scholars are given gold membership to the outstanding Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Leisure Centre. We have a sport performance Watershed Facility which has dedicated strength and conditioning facilities for sport scholars. Beaumont Park is home to the DMU Football, Rugby, Lacrosse and American Football. The Sport Scholarship supports talented student athletes competing at a high representative level. Scholars must be on an undergraduate or postgraduate course at DMU* and compete in a sport that is part of the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) programme or included in the Commonwealth, Olympic or Paralympic Games programme. We have five scholarship tiers depending on what level you are currently competing at. The table below outlines the cash bursary and value-in-kind funding that each scholar receives depending on the scholarship tier they are awarded. We are pleased to announce International Undergraduate Scholarship for September 2022. The High Achiever Scholarship rewards eligible prospective International students joining a full-time undergraduate degree at De Montfort University. The scholarship offers a £3,000, £5,000 or a full fee waiver to International students who have achieved a score of 70% or above in their previous studies. This award is only applicable for the first year of a full-time undergraduate course at the University. The scholarship recipients will be asked to demonstrate their ongoing commitment to advancing their studies by submitting documented evidence (in the form of a report) to their academic faculty. The closing date to apply for the scholarship is midnight on Monday 11 July 2022 for students commencing their studies in September 2022. A selection committee will meet to select the recipients and all candidates will be notified of the outcome. Eligibility criteria

We are proud to present the International Scholarship Award programme for 2022-2023, which rewards eligible prospective international students joining a full-time or part-time undergraduate and postgraduate taught degree at De Montfort University (DMU) in September 2022 or January 2023. The scholarship offers a £1,500 automatic fee reduction. This award is only applicable for the first year of study at the university, upon receipt of a £4,000 tuition fee deposit. A limited number of DMU International Scholarships are available and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no closing date for applications; once numbers have been exhausted, no more discounts will be allocated. Eligibility criteria
Terms and Conditions1. An International Scholarship Award is available to new international students starting on a full-time or part-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught course of study. 2. To be eligible, an applicant must (i) have received an offer to study on a full-time course or part-time course, starting in September 2022 or January 2023 and (ii) have accepted their offer, and (iii) have paid a £4,000 deposit to DMU by 31 August 2022 and confirm by email once the payment has been made. 3. The International Scholarship Award is applied on a first come first serve basis once the deposit payment has been made and a conditional offer from DMU has been received. International scholarships and discounts are only available to students who are assessed by DMU as having overseas international student status and who pay overseas international rate tuition fees. 5. Awards will not be applied to courses with fees lower than the lowest standard international fee. |

We are pleased to announce the International Postgraduate Taught Scholarship for September 2022. De Montfort University has a long-standing and ambitious commitment to sustainability, meaning the pursuit of social, economic and environmental wellbeing. Pursuing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for 2030, which address issues such as poverty, hunger, clean energy and health, form the centrepiece of the University’s strategic plan. The university aims to achieve positive sustainability impacts through its teaching, research and external partnership working. This work is taken forward across all of our faculties and directorates, as well as through dedicated teams and projects. The Education for Sustainable Development project works with course leaders, staff and students to ensure that sustainability issues are addressed in all of DMU courses and wider activities. The Sustainable DMU team aims to ensure that sustainability is at the heart of DMU’s operational decision making, research activity and external partnerships. Postgraduate study at DMU empowers our students to make a positive difference to society in their future careers and as global citizens. For our international students, this experience can provide the skills, confidence and connections to tackle sustainability challenges back in their home countries, in the UK or elsewhere. The Sustainability Scholarship scheme aims to support high-calibre students to come to DMU and develop the skills they need to make a difference. We are also looking for our Sustainability scholars to support DMU’s work on sustainability, both during the time at university and in the future as part of DMU’s alumni network. Our postgraduate scholarships will offer a £4,000 discount towards the total value of the course fee and will be awarded to a number of outstanding International students. This scholarship is open to all postgraduate taught courses. The scholarship recipients will be asked to report to the panel midway during their studies on their continuation in prioritising sustainability in their academic work, and in their extracurricular engagement and post-study plans. Our dedicated Postgraduate Alumni Scholarship provides De Montfort University Leicester (DMU) graduates with a tuition fee discount of 20 per cent. The discount is available on selected full-time, part-time and distance learning postgraduate taught courses running across multiple start dates in the 2022/23 academic session, with the next intake in September 2022. The scholarship is available to all DMU UK, EU and international alumni who have completed an undergraduate degree at the university, and is just one many benefits about being part of DMU for Life.
