In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, the University of Hull is offering 7 scholarships to students in Bangladesh, India, Kenya, Mexico, Turkey and Vietnam applying for postgraduate courses in September 2024.
The GREAT Scholarships 2024 programme, launched by the British Council together with 72 UK universities, supports postgraduate students from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, Greece, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam to access world-class UK higher education opportunities.
The scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects, at the 72 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Please note that applicants should be passport holders of Bangladesh, India, Kenya, Mexico, Turkey and Vietnam.
The University of Hull, in partnership with the British Council, will be awarding the University of Hull – GREAT Scholarship 2024 – Bangladesh, India, Kenya, Mexico, Turkey and Vietnam. This award is for nationals of the previously listed countries who are interested in studying a full-time, postgraduate taught programme starting in September 2024.
2024 Scholarships
The University of Hull is offering scholarships for students beginning a full-time, postgraduate taught programme starting in September 2024.
One successful applicant in each of the categories listed below will receive an award of £10,000 (GBP) in the form of a tuition fee reduction.

2 x Bangladeshi student studying any full-time, Hull-based postgraduate taught programme.

1 x Indian student studying any full-time, Hull-based postgraduate taught programme.

1 x Kenyan student studying any full-time, Hull-based postgraduate taught programme.

1 x Mexican student studying any full-time, Hull-based postgraduate taught programme.
-
1 x Turkish student studying any full-time, Hull-based postgraduate taught programme.

1 x Vietnamese student studying any full-time, Hull-based postgraduate taught programme.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a University of Hull – GREAT Scholarship 2024 - all applicants must:

Be a national and hold a passport from one of the respective countries included within this scholarship.

Have received an offer of study for a postgraduate taught degree programme at the University of Hull.

Have achieved, or be working towards, a 2:1 degree or equivalent in their undergraduate programme recognised by the University of Hull.

Have achieved an IELTS of at least 6.5 overall, with 5.5 in each skill or equivalent before the application deadline.

Have not previously studied in the UK.

Have completed a University of Hull – GREAT Scholarship 2024 application form and have answered the following questions (maximum of 250-words per question):
