The University of the Highlands and Islands was founded in 1992 before gaining full university status in 2011. It is a partnership of 13 colleges and research institutions spread across the Highland islands, with locations as diverse as Inverness, Perth, Elgin, the Isle of Skye, Fort William, Shetland, Orkney and the Western Isles available to study in.
The University of the Highlands and Islands features courses on adventure tourism management, business and management, golf management, science, energy and technology: marine science, sustainable rural development, sustainable mountain development, Scottish history, archaeology, fine art, Gaelic and engineering.
Some The University of the Highlands and Islands colleges feature their own accommodation. If this is not available, the accommodation team can assist with finding you somewhere to live during study.
The University of the Highlands and Islands offers students the chance to study in larger towns such as Perth, Inverness or Elgin, or one of the smaller communities across the islands which are part of the 13 colleges.
My counsellor contacted me every day throughout the application process and helped me receive an unconditional offer. I am so grateful to SI-UK and will never forget them. I will study very hard as I feel this is the best reward I can give the whole team.
