Just graduated with a first class degree? Congratulations! You can now progress onto a postgraduate course starting in September 2025 or January 2026 and receive UEA’s 30% fee reduction scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

You are eligible for a Scholarship under these Terms if you meet all these criteria:

• You are and will remain self-funded for the duration of an Eligible Programme;  

• At the time you enrol on an Eligible Programme (as set out below) you have achieved a first class or starred first class undergraduate degree from the University of East Anglia or UEA accredited course at a partner institution; 

• You proceed immediately to a Master’s programme or the first year of a Doctorate programme. Here, immediately means that your postgraduate programme starts in the academic year following your undergraduate degree studied at UEA. 

Eligible Programmes

Except for the courses set out below, Scholarships may be offered in respect of all credit-bearing postgraduate taught and postgraduate research programmes studied at UEA or UEA accredited institutions.

We will not offer this discount if you will be studying for the MBA qualification, MSc Global Plant Health, MSc Plant Genetics and Crop Improvement, or any of our foundation, pre-Masters, integrated Master’s, postgraduate certificate, graduate diploma or postgraduate diploma programmes.

We know funding your Master’s can be a concern.

So our new Bright Futures Postgraduate Scholarships offer a £2000 reduction in fees for UK-based students, to help you get on with taking your next step.

Guidance

We are looking for a carefully  constructed, original re​sponse that can demonstrate how you believe studying your chosen course at UEA will help you to make a difference in the future  of your chosen field of study. We are also interested to hear how you will contribute to our campus environment during your time here at UEA. Your answers should reflect that you have a good understanding of your area of study and what it means to be part of the UEA student body.

There are 50 scholarships available of £2000 that will be awarded as a fee reduction. Candidates will need to apply for the scholarship and successful applicants will be decided by a panel. The panel will be assessing applications on academic merit, interest in the subject area, how applicants could contribute to the UEA community and how a postgraduate qualification would enable applicants to make a difference in the future. 

Eligibility Criteria

You are eligible to apply for a £2000 PGT Bright Futures Scholarship under these Terms if you meet all of the following criteria:  

• You are liable for Home fee status. Those liable for Overseas fees are not eligible for this scholarship.  

• You are and will remain self-funded for the duration of an Eligible Programme. This means you are paying all of your tuition fees yourself, which may include personal savings, a loan (e.g. a government loan) or financial support from a friend or relative.

• You meet the deadline for applying to the award. This is outlined on the Bright Futures Scholarship page.

• You submit your course application by the scholarship deadline.

Eligible Programmes

Except for the courses set out below, Scholarships may be offered in respect of all credit-bearing postgraduate taught programmes studied at UEA.

We will not offer this Discount if you will be studying for the MBA qualification, MSc Global Plant Health, MSc Plant Genetics and Crop Improvement, or any of our foundation, pre-Masters, integrated Master’s, postgraduate certificate, graduate diploma or postgraduate diploma programmes.

If you meet the Eligibility Criteria and would like to be considered for a Scholarship, you must complete the scholarship application form by the deadline given.

If you do not provide us with the required information for application of the Scholarship when prompted, or if you provide us with incomplete or incorrect information, we will not be able to process your Scholarship application further.

If we are of the reasonable view that you do not meet our Eligibility Criteria and you wish to appeal we will ask you to provide us with such proof as we deem necessary to make a new assessment. You must supply us with the requested evidence as soon as reasonably possible.

We reserve the right to adjust scholarship eligibility criteria up until the application deadline, provided the change(s) do not make applications already submitted ineligible or disadvantage them in any way.

This scholarship is an automatic award for students paying overseas fees joining an eligible postgraduate programme at UEA in September 2025.

This award is worth:

• £4,000 - if you achieve the equivalent of UK 2:2 bachelor’s degree classification.

• £5,000 - if your final undergraduate grade is equivalent to at least UK 2:1 bachelor’s degree classification.

Eligibility Criteria

You are eligible for an International Postgraduate Merit Scholarship under these Terms if you meet all these criteria:

• You are an Overseas fee-paying student. If the fee status changes during your course, the scholarship will be removed and you will be invoiced for this amount.

• Scholarships do not remove the requirement to pay the International deposit, by the publicised deadline.

• Students sponsored for full tuition fees by an outside body or government organisation are not eligible for this scholarship. However, students applying for, or expecting to receive, government loans are eligible.

• This scholarship cannot be held in conjunction with another UEA scholarship (except specific partner institution scholarships), but can be used in conjunction with an Early Payment Award.

Eligible Programmes

• Except for the courses set out below, Scholarships may be offered by us in respect of full time, campus based, credit-bearing MSc, MA, MBA, MClinEd, PGCE, or LLM programmes studied at UEA, commencing in September 2025 or January/February 2026.

• We do not offer this scholarship for, MSc Occupational Therapy MSc Physiotherapy, MSc Plant Genetics and Crop Improvement or MSc Global Plant Health.

• Where a programme is more than one year in length, scholarship will be offered for the first year only.

This scholarship is an automatic award for students paying overseas fees joining an eligible undergraduate programme at UEA in September 2025.

This award is worth:

£4,000 for every year of study excluding placement years, years in industry or years or semesters abroad or any other occasion where a student is not paying the full Overseas fee.

This will be deducted from tuition fees on an annual basis.

The total value of scholarship will NOT be deducted from one single year of study.

Eligibility Criteria

You are eligible for an International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship under these Terms if you meet all these criteria:

• You are an Overseas fee-paying student. If the fee status changes during your course, the scholarship will be removed and you will be invoiced for this amount.

• Scholarships do not remove the requirement to pay the International deposit, by the publicised deadline.

• Students sponsored for full tuition fees by an outside body or government organisation are not eligible for this scholarship. However, students applying for, or expecting to receive, government loans are eligible.

• This scholarship cannot be held in conjunction with another UEA scholarship (except specific partner institution scholarships) but can be used in conjunction with an Early Payment Award.

Eligible courses

Except for the courses set out below, Scholarships will be offered for full time, campus based, credit-bearing undergraduate courses studied at UEA, commencing in September 2025.

• The following courses are not eligible for these scholarships:

  • Courses run by our partner INTO UEA

  • UEA accredited degree courses run by partner institutions.

  • Courses with an International Year One taught at INTO UEA - BA Business Management with International Year One, BA Media and International Development with International Year One, BA Marketing and Management with International Year One and BSc Economics and Finance with International Year One.

  • Final Year only courses – BSc Computing Science with Software Development (Final Year Entry), BA International Business Management (Final Year Entry), BSc Accounting and Finance (Final Year Entry) and BA Marketing and Management (Final Year Entry)

  • Degree Apprenticeship courses run by UEA on behalf of employers.

  • MBBS Medicine and BSc Medical Research

  • BSc Physiotherapy and BSc Occupational Therapy

Scholarships will be paid for each year of study excluding placement years, years in industry or years or semesters abroad or any other occasion where a student is not paying the full Overseas fee.

Norwich Business School (NBS) are delighted to offer a number of competitive scholarships, up to a total amount of £64,000 awarded as tuition fee reductions for full-time MBA students.

• 2 x £12,000

UEA awards a number of Music Scholarships every year, to new students who show exceptional musical achievement and commitment.

The scholarships are for musicians of any instrument or voice and any style or tradition – including different national traditions. They are intended to encourage recipients to develop their musical and leadership skills and contribute significantly to music at UEA. A high standard of performance is expected, but equally important is a clear commitment to take leading roles in the musical life of the University.

Application is before entry to UEA.

The awards are worth £3,000, payable over three years. The holder is expected to use this money to develop their musical skills and to devote at least part of it to taking lessons for their instrument or voice.

Requirements

No qualifications need to have been taken. A high standard of performance can be demonstrated at audition. In the case of a musician performing in a style or tradition without a formal method of assessment this is particularly important. For those used to the graded exam system it may be useful to say that a performing standard of Grade 8 and above is a benchmark. Neither Grade 8 nor any other exam need either have been taken or passed.

The deadline to receive applications is 11pm on Wednesday 7 May 2025.

Each 50% fee scholarship will cover up to up to 50% of the full cost of the tuition fee (50% of either £17,975 UK or £35,450 international fees for 2025-26), minus any other awards or scholarships you are in possession of that cover more than 50% of the fee.

Eligibility

You are eligible for a full scholarship under these terms if you meet all these criteria:

• You are in receipt of an offer of a place on the UEA MSc in Global Plant Health

• You are not a national of or domiciled in a least-developed, low-income, or lower-middle-income country or territory as defined by the Overseas Development Agency Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list, version 2024-25 for entry in 2025-26 academic year. For example, you are a national of and domiciled in an upper-middle income country or higher income country (including the UK) according to this list.

There are a limited number of scholarships available and these will be awarded throughout the year, so you are advised to apply early.

 The deadline to apply for the course is 30 May 2025 (for international applicants) and 29 August 2025 (for UK applicants).

Each full scholarship will cover up to:

• the full cost of the tuition fee (£35,450 international fee for 2025-26)

• maintenance grant (exact value at the UKRI postgraduate researcher stipend level to be determined for 2025-26; in 2024-23 it was £19,237)

• an additional £4,000 for travel costs (subject to valid economy class travel receipts)

Eligibility

You are eligible for a full scholarship under these terms if you meet all these criteria:

• You are in receipt of an offer of a place on the UEA MSc in Global Plant Health

• You are a national of or domiciled in a least-developed, low-income, or lower-middle-income country or territory as defined by the Overseas Development Agency Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list, version 2024-25 for entry in 2025-26 academic year.

There are a limited number of scholarships available and these will be awarded throughout the year, so you are advised to apply early.

The deadline to apply for the course is 30 May 2025 (for international applicants) and 29 August 2025 (for UK applicants).

​​The Schilizzi Foundation Scholarship will support a student who is a Greek national or who has Greek heritage and has applied to study their undergraduate degree at UEA. Applicants can be enrolled on any undergraduate course at UEA including year abroad/year in industry courses, however, please note that the scholarship funding is only available for 3 years of study.

This scholarship is open to Home (UK) fee students and international fee students .

To be considered for this scholarship, an application form is required. The deadline for applications is 2nd May 2025.

Criteria

The Vice Chancellor’s International Postgraduate Excellence Scholarship is an application based award open to those who hold an offer of study at UEA. Our panel sits on a regular basis with submissions of a high quality being offered £7,000 as a tuition fee discount. Successful applicants will be informed shortly after each panel.

This scholarship is designed to reward international fee status applicants who have been offered a place to study with UEA and who can clearly and concisely explain how studying here at UEA will help them to make an outstanding contribution to their chosen field of study as well as the wider UEA community.

Academic Excellence

Successful offer holders will be able to clearly and concisely explain how studying here at UEA will help them to make an outstanding contribution to their chosen field of study and how they can contribute to the UEA campus society.

We do not offer this scholarship for integrated Master’s, MSc Global Plant Health, MSc Plant Genetics and Crop Improvement, MBBS courses, MSc Occupational Therapy or MSc Physiotherapy.

Eligibility Criteria

You are eligible for a UEA Postgraduate International Excellence Scholarship under these Terms if you meet all these criteria: 

• You are an Overseas fee-paying student. If the fee status changes during your course from Overseas to Home fees the scholarship shall be discontinued.

• You are in receipt of an offer to study at UEA at the time of your scholarship application.

• Students sponsored for full tuition fees by an outside body or government organisation are not eligible for this scholarship. However, students applying for, or expecting to receive, government loans are eligible. 

Scholarships do not remove the requirement to pay the International deposit, by the publicised deadline.

Eligible Programmes 

Except for the courses set out below, Scholarships may be offered by us in respect of full time, campus based, credit-bearing MSc, MA, PGCE or MBA programmes studied at UEA, commencing in September 2025 or January 2026. 

We do not offer this scholarship for integrated Master’s, MSc Global Plant Health, MSc Plant Genetics and Crop Improvement, MSc Occupational Therapy or MSc Physiotherapy.

Where a programme is two years in length, scholarship will be offered for the first year only.

The deadline for application is 2 June 2025.

The School will offer one international scholarship equal to 50% international fees to an academically outstanding applicant who is nominated by the Dean of the University and who have received an offer on one of the MSc programmes, either the Applied Training or the Academic and Professional from the above universities. This scholarship cannot be cumulated with other UEA scholarships. All other offer holders from these universities will receive a scholarship of £1,000.

Any eligible applicant who has received an offer on one of the programmes by 31 May 2025, will be considered for these scholarships. No separate application is necessary.
