Eligibility criteria

The University of Liverpool Graduate Loyalty Advancement Scholarship rewards the loyalty of our current undergraduate students and alumni who progress to a postgraduate taught master’s course with us.

This includes Study Abroad and Exchange students and students from Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.

To receive this scholarship you need to be either:

• an alumnus or alumna of the University of Liverpool, having completed your undergraduate degree at the Liverpool campus

• returning for further study having previously studied as an undergraduate exchange student on the Liverpool campus.

You must also be:

• joining a postgraduate taught master’s course, including MRes programmes, at our Liverpool campus from September 2024. It doesn't matter if you'll be studying full-time or part-time. 

We're unable to offer you this scholarship if you’re:

• registered as a student with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine

• transferring to the University of Liverpool from partner institutions where an alternative fee payment or scholarship arrangement has been made

• studying online

• having your tuition fees paid by a sponsor, such as a government, commercial organisation or employer, on your behalf.

The Scholarship includes full tuition fees for a full-time postgraduate taught degree in law (LLM), and a stipend of £9,207.

The Scholarship is available to all prospective Overseas candidates (i.e. non UK, non EU) intending to pursue a postgraduate taught degree in law at the University of Liverpool.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must have completed or be in the final year of completion of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent degree at a minimum 2.1 (UK Upper Second) or equivalent standard and have an excellent standard of English.Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• Academic excellence.

• Evidence of an interest in legal and public service which may benefit the Liverpool City Region.

The scholarship is open to all subjects offered as a one-year taught master's programme.  However, priority will be given to those students who wish to study in a subject area associated with HRH Princess Sirindhorn such as science, IT, medicine, the arts, geography, history and languages.

The highest achieving students (who achieve 75% or above), progressing from UoLIC Foundation and Pre-master’s programmes, will receive a £5,000 tuition fee reduction for the first year of study (a maximum of 20 scholarships in total are available for eligible students).

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award you must:

• Be liable to pay full tuition fees at the overseas rate

• Be starting a new non-clinical postgraduate/master’s programme in academic year 2024/25

• Achieve one of the highest academic scores in a UoLIC Pre-Master’s programme, achieving at least 75%.

The highest achieving students, (who achieve 75% or above) progressing from UoLIC Foundation and Pre-master's programmes, will receive a £5,000 tuition fee reduction for the first year of study (a maximum of 20 scholarships in total are available for eligible students).

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award you must:

• Be liable to pay full tuition fees at the overseas rate

• Be starting a new non-clinical undergraduate programme in academic year 2024/25

• Achieve one of the highest academic scores in a UoLIC Foundation Certificate programme, achieving at least 75%.

The University of Liverpool International College (UoLIC) First Class Award is available to; non-EU international students who have progressed from UoLIC to a non-clinical, undergraduate degree programme at the University of Liverpool, who are entering Year 2 or Year 3 of their degree programme, and have achieved an overall grade average of 70% or above in the preceding year of study, at the first attempt.

Eligible students will receive a £1,000 tuition fee discount in Year 2 and Year 3 of their (non-clinical) degree at the University of Liverpool, if grade average is 70% or above.

Key information

UoLIC recipients of the Kaplan awards will receive the £3,000 Progression Impact Scholarship, deducted from first-year tuition fees, on successful progression to their UoL degree programme.  Where there are more than 7 Kaplan award holders, preference for the University’s Progression Scholarships will be given to those holding a Sustainability or Women in STEM award. On progression to the University, awardees will be expected to demonstrate their continued commitment to the theme of their scholarship by producing a short vlog or case study and by contributing to impact-themed sessions for College students.

A range of scholarships and awards are available to help cover the cost of tuition fees on MSc and MBA master's courses in the Management School (ULMS).

If you’re joining an MSc or MBA in the Management School from September 2024, you could be eligible to receive a tuition fee discount of up to £5,000 through the University’s new Advancement Scholarships.

Eligibility criteria

The ULMS Excellence Scholarship will be awarded to eligible UK, Republic of Ireland and international applicants joining one of the Management School's MSc programmes in academic year 2024/25 and studying on campus.

You'll be considered for this award based on your academic excellence, CV and personal statement.

You'll need to have, or be on track to obtain, a first class degree, or equivalent, with no marks below a 2:1 (60%) or equivalent in modules relevant to your chosen postgraduate programme.

Relevant work experience (paid, internship, shadowing or voluntary positions) would be advantageous, as would previously studying at a highly-ranked university.

Please note, scholarship selection is based purely on the above factors. We're unable to award scholarships based on requests relating to financial need.

This award can't be combined with centrally-awarded funding from the University since it already meets the maximum fee discount of 50%. 

If you're an MBA offer holder, with four or more years of professional or managerial experience and a strong academic background, you could be eligible for a discount of up to 75% off your tuition fees. You'll need to be joining the Liverpool MBA or Football Industries MBA and studying on campus.

Eligibility criteria

The ULMS MBA Excellence Scholarship will be awarded to eligible UK, Republic of Ireland and international applicants joining the Liverpool MBA and Football Industries MBA and studying on campus in academic year 2024/25.

You'll need to demonstrate academic and professional excellence. You must:

• hold at least a high 2:1 or equivalent (65%+ in your undergraduate or postgraduate degree)

• have four or more years of professional/managerial experience

• be able to demonstrate leadership potential.

If you don’t have a degree equivalent to a high 2:1 or above, you could still be considered for this scholarship. You’ll need to have 10 or more years of professional or managerial experience and be able to demonstrate your continuing professional development.

Awarded to one Latin American applicant on the Liverpool MBA programme or Football Industries MBA programme (both on-campus).

The ULMS Progress to Postgraduate Award is available to all current University of Liverpool undergraduate students, from any discipline, who want to progress onto one of the Management School’s MSc programmes beginning in September 2024.UK, Republic of Ireland and international students are eligible. You can be intending to study full-time or part-time.Please note, this award can be combined with any Management School award or central University of Liverpool funding that you're eligible to receive. This includes the Graduate Loyalty Advancement Scholarship, up to a maximum of a 50% fee discount.

Two 50% tuition fee discounts are available.

Eligibility criteria

The ULMS Women in Football Scholarship will be awarded to eligible UK, Republic of Ireland and international female applicants joining the Football Industries MBA in academic year 2024/25.You'll need to be able demonstrate academic and professional excellence. You must:

• hold at least a high 2:1 or equivalent (65%+ in your undergraduate or postgraduate degree)

• have three or more years of professional/managerial experience

• be able to demonstrate leadership potential.

If you don’t have a degree equivalent to a high 2:1 or above, you could still be considered for this scholarship. You’ll need to have 10 or more years of professional or managerial experience and be able to demonstrate your continuing professional development.Please note, scholarship selection is based purely on the above factors. The University of Liverpool Undergraduate Global Advancement Scholarship rewards high-achieving international students starting an undergraduate programme at the University of Liverpool in September 2024.

Award

• £3,000 will be deducted from your tuition fees in your first year of study

• If you achieve first class honours (70%) in your first year, you'll then receive a £1,000 fee reduction in your second year of study

• If you maintain this grade in your second year, you'll then receive a £1,000 fee reduction in your third year of study. 

All tuition fee discounts are capped at 50% of the relevant fee.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award you must:

• be liable to pay full tuition fees at the international rate

• be starting a new non-clinical undergraduate programme at our Liverpool campus in academic year 2024/25

• achieve AAA grades in A levels or equivalent qualification.

You'll be assessed on the qualifications used to gain entry into the University only.

Exceptions

We won't be able to offer you this scholarship if you're undertaking one of the following clinical programmes:

• Dental Surgery 

• Medicine and Surgery 

• Veterinary Science.

We also can't offer you this scholarship if you'll be studying online or if your fees are being paid by a sponsor, such as a government, commercial organisation or employer, on your behalf.

Joining year 2 or year 3 of the LLB (Hons) Law degree at the Liverpool Law School as a high-achieving direct entry student from one of our partner institutions in Malaysia or Singapore? You could be eligible for the Vice Chancellor's International Attainment Scholarship for Malaysia.

Amount

The scholarship includes a £2,500 tuition fee discount off your first year of study with us.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible, you'lll need to:

• achieve 55% overall with no module below 50% for year 2 entry or 62% overall with no module below 58% for year 3 entry

• be paying tuition fees at the overseas/international rate without external sponsorship

• be progressing into years 2 or 3 of our full-time LLB (Hons) Law degree (M100) from Brickfields Asia College, Brickfields Asia College Singapore, HELP University, Advanced Tertiary College or Taylor's University.

There are 15 (fifteen) scholarships in total. Details are:

1. 15 (fifteen) £5,000 scholarships

2. Domiciled in Mainland China when applications are made

3. Have Bachelor's Degree awarded or to be awarded by a recognised university in Mainland China with a minimum average grade of 80% overall

4. Have accepted and paid deposit on one of the postgraduate taught programmes which are not included in the £7,500 and £5,000 fee discounts as part of the University of Liverpool Postgraduate Global Advancement Scholarship at the University of Liverpool’s campus

5. Are self -financed (which means tuition fees are to be paid by students or the parents).

All scholarships will be awarded after the formal registration at the University and will take the form of a fee waiver.
