Access to education is one contributing factor leading to the underrepresentation of women in STEM. The Scholarship is available to all international students with an offer for an eligible programme, regardless of nationality, who meet the following criteria:
Achieve a UK 1st Class Honours or equivalent
Hold an offer for an eligible postgraduate taught programme for September 2024 intake
Have international fee status
Terms and Conditions:
You must have achieved a UK First Class Bachelor’s degree or an overseas equivalent degree. Information on the comparability of international qualifications can be found on the Entry Requirements section under the listings for each programme in the course finder. Please note this information is only intended as a guide and the final decision on equivalency of overseas qualifications will be made by the Admissions Office.
This scheme is available only to students who apply for and enrol on an eligible course taught at Queen Mary in the 2024/25 academic year. Scholarships cannot be deferred to subsequent years of study.
Your fee status must have been confirmed as ‘Overseas’ by Queen Mary and must remain ‘Overseas’ throughout the programme. This award is not available to applicants assessed as ‘Home’ for fee status purposes, regardless of domicile.
You must be enrolled on a full-time master’s programme.
You must not be in receipt of any other University scholarship or full-fee scholarship from any other source.
If you are awarded the scholarship, it will be deducted directly from tuition fees payable to the University. You must be able to finance the remainder of your tuition fees and living expenses.
The scholarship will be confirmed when your admissions status is ‘unconditional firm’ (UF) and you enrol at Queen Mary.
The scholarship is awarded by Queen Mary in line with the eligibility criteria and application requirements published above. We reserve the right to withdraw the scholarship if your fee status changes to Home or if you otherwise become ineligible for the award.

hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate programme for September 2024 intake

This scheme is available only to students who apply for and enrol on an eligible course taught at Queen Mary in the 2024/25 academic year. Scholarships cannot be deferred to subsequent years of study.
MBBS Medicine, BDS Dentistry and MBBS Medicine Malta are not included in the Global Talent Scholarship scheme.

Norman Palmer was the academic principal of the Institute of Art and Law, under the auspices of which he provided countless hours of instruction to hundreds of students. His wisdom and intellectual curiosity produced a number of leading publications, including Palmer on Bailment, Art Loans and Museums and the Holocaust, as well as dozens of articles in the area of art and cultural property law. As a barrister, he specialized in the fields of cultural objects, personal property, commercial law and dispute resolution, including the mediation of disputes over cultural objects. His clients included governments, local authorities, cultural institutions, religious bodies, indigenous communities, museum curators, art collectors, art dealers, transporters and insurers. His knowledge and understanding of the field as well as his enthusiasm for it, were unparalleled, and the LLM programme in Art, Business and Law is his legacy to Queen Mary.
Who is eligible to apply for this scholarship?
Applicants must meet all of the following eligibility criteria
You must have a conditional or unconditional offer for the Art, Business and the Law LLM (please note that this is a specific programme of study, it does not apply to those who are applying for any of the other LLM programmes)
You must be a full time student
You can have either a UK or International fees status
You must not be in receipt of funding from another source
What does the scholarship cover? How is it paid?
Partial tuition fee waiver: 1/3.
The scholarships are not payable directly to the successful applicant but are offset against your student fee invoice.

Who is eligible?
The Alumni Loyalty Award is open to all Queen Mary graduates enrolling on a full postgraduate degree programme who are self-funding at least part of their tuition fees.
Queen Mary graduates are defined as anyone who has undertaken an undergraduate degree, postgraduate degree at Queen Mary University of London.
Postgraduate degree programmes are defined as any full-time, part-time or distance learning Master’s or Doctorate* degree programme offered at QMUL. Queen Mary Online programmes, joint-awards and split-site degrees are not eligible. Queen Mary Online students are eligible for a 10 per cent Alumni Scholarship Loyalty Award.
This Award can be combined with other Queen Mary scholarships but will not be awarded to fully sponsored students.** Students who are partly sponsored will have the discount applied to that part of the fees which are not being paid for elsewhere. *This award for PhD students is for the first year only. **This award is available to students receiving the US Federal Loan as they are recorded as self-payers with payment plans.
Students who are have an offer for MSc Economics may be eligible for the Economics Alumni Award.

Who is ineligible?
Students who are fully sponsored are not eligible for this Award. Full sponsorship means tuition fees are paid in full by an employer, industrial sponsor, government, charity or other third party organisation. This Award is intended to help students who are self-financing some or all of their postgraduate studies.
Pre-sessional English courses, Foundation programmes, PG Diplomas, pre-Masters, and Postgraduate Certificate courses do not qualify you as a Queen Mary graduate in respect of this award.

Each Scholarship is worth £3,000 in the first year of study. The Scholarships will be awarded as applications come in on the basis of academic excellence (applicants will typically need predicted grades of at least A*AA at A-levels, IB 40 points or equivalent in order to be considered for an award).
