Cambridge tops 2023 CWUR UK employability ranking
The University of Cambridge has topped the 2023 CWUR Employability rankings for UK universities and also placed 25th in the world.
Fellow Oxbridge university, the University of Oxford, finished second, followed by London Business School, LSE and Imperial College London to complete the top five.
The Centre for World University Rankings (CWUR) assessed more than 20,000 different universities around the world to find the 2,000 best performing universities for employability in 2023. The CWUR measured the professional success of the university’s alumni and how many have held top positions at major companies.
Overall, the CWUR rankings evaluate universities and colleges on the following four indicators:
- Quality of Education: based on the academic success of a university’s alumni
- Alumni Employability: based on the professional success of a university’s alumni
- Quality of Faculty: measured by the number of faculty members who have won prestigious academic distinctions
- Research Performance: based on research output
