Overview
Writtle University College was established in 1893 and has been producing leaders in the land-based industries and organisations for over 120 years. There are currently 1,000 Higher Education students enrolled at Writtle, with around 80 of those from international countries. Over 40 nationalities are represented at Writtle.
It has a well established international reputation and many of its past students are working in senior positions around the world. Based across a beautifully landscaped 220 hectare campus, facilities include a farm, equine resources, animal therapy barn, scientific laboratories, library, accommodation and design studios.
Services
Writtle provides Pre-sessional English courses for international students in preparation for academic study, which includes trips to London and Cambridge. Demonstrations on the use of University College services such as the library, computing services, sports and other recreational facilities will help students settle in. Writtle also offers free English lessons alongside your degree to improve your English skills as you study.
Rankings
Writtle University College achieved 5% higher than the national average during the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey 2015. Writtle was also 9% higher than the average for small and specialist institutions.

Accommodation
There are approximately 400 rooms available for students wishing to stay on campus. International students are guaranteed accommodation in Halls of Residence providing their application for accommodation is received by the required deadline. A laundry and free Wi-Fi service is provided.
