Sussex Downs College has been welcoming international students for over 20 years. We are a multi-award winning college offering academic excellence, outstanding international student support and value for money.
Each year 400 international students from over 70 countries worldwide choose to study English language and academic and vocational courses with us.

OFSTED, the UK’s regulatory body for education, has classified Sussex Downs College as an “outstanding” college, and we have been named a Learning and Skills Beacon Status College in recognition of our “outstanding performance” by the UK government. Sussex Downs College also holds a Beacon Award from the British Council and the AoC in recognition of our excellent international student support.
Our students have a long history of high success rates. In 2009 100% of international students passed at A2, and 64% of international students received a grade A at A2.
One of the most common reasons students choose Sussex Downs College is due to our reputation for excellent exam results. We are delighted to announce that the overall pass rate for Cambridge exams (PET, FCE, CAE and BEC) on our English Language Plus course in Eastbourne was 91% this year.
