Introduction to Password English Test
What is the Password English Test?
The Password English Test is an online English test and is used for admission to UK university courses. The test takes 3 hours to complete and is made up of two parts.
Password English Exam Format
- Password Test Part 1
In part 1 of the Pass English Test, students will have 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete all tasks within the Password Reading section, and 30 minutes to complete the Password Writing assessment. For the Password Writing assessment, students wbe given two essay titles to choose from.
- Password Test Part 2
The Password Listening test takes 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete and takers are required to lisen to five audio tracks and then answer questions on them. The Password Speaking section has five sections to complete and answers are supplied by speaking into your microphone. This test lasts for 20 minutes.
Password Exam Results
Results are available within 10 working days of your completed exam.
Password Skills Plus
The new Password Skills Plus test is the first Password test sold directly to students who benefit from the convenience of being able to take the test, securely and with full invigilation, from the comfort of their own homes on a day and time convenient to them:
- The test is formally aligned to the CEFR and is accepted by the UK Home Office
- The test assesses all four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking)
- The test takes 3 hours and 5 minutes to complete online with full, live online invigilation
- Results from Password Skills Plus tests are available within 3-5 working days
- The student will receive a copy of their certificate by email, which they can share with institutions for acceptance
- Institutions gain access to our online validation portal, where they can log in to verify students’ test results securely
