UK dominates Top 200 universities in Europe ranking

10 March 2016

Times Higher Education have revealed the top 200 universities in Europe in a new league table, with UK universities dominating the list.

The University of Oxford, University of Cambridge and Imperial College London finished in the top three, with fellow UK institutions University College London, London School of Economics, University of Edinburgh and King’s College London also in the top ten.

Phil Baty, rankings editor at THE, said: "International students are hugely important to the health of the UK higher education system. They spend about £4.5 billion on tuition fees and accommodation alone, but they also add much to the overall student experience by supporting a rich, multicultural campus life for all students.”
