Overview

BIMM University provides an extensive range of courses in modern music, performing arts, filmmaking, and creative technology to over 8,000 students across 14 schools in the UK, Ireland, and Germany. BIMM have a long-standing commitment to providing the highest quality in creative industries education, allowing students to maximise their career potential.

For 40 years, BIMM has equipped students with the knowledge and skills they need to meet the demands of the creative industries, and graduates feel industry-ready. Beyond academic life, BIMM University offers a community built on a shared passion, creativity, and belief system.

BIMM University has five acclaimed colleges: BIMM Institute, Screen and Film School, Performers College, Institute for Contemporary Theatre, and Northern Ballet School. All colleges focus on full-time further, higher, and postgraduate education courses in guitar, drums, bass, songwriting, vocals, electronic music production, music and sound production, music business event management, music marketing, media, and communication.

Due to BIMM's global reputation (over 1,200 overseas students worldwide), the college also attracts artists from top bands to give masterclasses (Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, and many more). There are usually two or three masterclasses per week and many other student events, including music industry sessions and live gigs in the city of each campus.

From a survey of students who graduated, 83% are working in the music and creative industries six months after graduation.
