Scholarships at University of Lincoln

The University of Lincoln’s Africa Scholarship is designed to help students from across Africa to access postgraduate level study at the University of Lincoln. The Africa Scholarship is offered as a tuition fee discount against the cost of a postgraduate taught programme commencing in the 2025/26 or 2026/27 academic year.

January 2026 Entry 

Scholarship Amount

The Africa Scholarship is valued at £4,000 - £5,000 and will be awarded to eligible students as a tuition fee discount during the first year of their studies.

Selection Criteria

In order to be eligible to receive the Africa Scholarship prospective students must meet the following criteria:

• Be a national of, or have permanent residence in, Africa.

• Hold a Conditional or Unconditional Offer from the University of Lincoln for a full-time postgraduate taught programme commencing in January 2026.

• £5,000 scholarship will automatically be awarded to students who have:

  • Completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution and have obtained at least the equivalent of a 2:1 classification or

  • Completed a Pre-Master’s degree, or a qualification equivalent to a UK Master’s degree, with a comparable classification as determined by the University

• £4,000 scholarship will automatically be awarded to students who have:

  • Completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution and have obtained at least the equivalent of a 2:2 classification or

  • Completed a Pre-Master’s degree, or a qualification equivalent to a UK Master’s degree, with a comparable classification as determined by the University

September 2026 and January 2027 Entry

• £4,000 scholarship will automatically be awarded to students who have:

  • Completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution and have obtained at least the equivalent of a 2:2 classification or

  • Completed a Pre-Master’s degree, or a qualification equivalent to a UK Master’s degree, with a comparable classification as determined by the University

The University of Lincoln’s Canada Scholarship is designed to help students from Canada to access postgraduate level study at the University of Lincoln. The Canada Scholarship is offered as a tuition fee discount against the cost of a postgraduate taught programme commencing in the 2026/27 academic year. 

Scholarship Amount

The Canada Scholarship is valued at £5,000 and will be awarded to eligible students as a tuition fee discount in the first year of their studies. 

Selection Criteria 

In order to be eligible to receive the Canada Scholarship, prospective students must meet the following criteria:

• Be a national of, or have permanent residence in, Canada.

• Hold a Conditional or Unconditional Offer from the University of Lincoln for a full-time postgraduate taught programme commencing in September 2026 or January 2027.

• Have completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution and have obtained at least the equivalent of a 2:1 classification or completed a Pre-Master’s degree, or a qualification equivalent to a UK Master’s degree, with a comparable classification as determined by the University.

Chevening is the UK government’s international awards scheme aimed at developing global leaders. Funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations, Chevening offers two types of award – Chevening Scholarships and Chevening Fellowships – the recipients of which are personally selected by British Embassies and High Commissions throughout the world.

Chevening offers a unique opportunity for future leaders, influencers, and decision-makers from all over the world to develop professionally and academically, network extensively, experience UK culture, and build lasting positive relationships with the UK.

The University of Lincoln is delighted to offer China Advanced Entry Undergraduate Scholarships to eligible applicants who are directly entering onto level 2, or level 3, of an undergraduate programme in September 2026. 

Scholarship Amount

The China Advanced Entry Undergraduate Scholarship is valued at £1,000 and will be awarded to eligible students as a tuition fee discount for each year of an undergraduate programme at the University of Lincoln.

September 2026 Entry

Selection Criteria

In order to be eligible to receive this scholarship prospective students must meet the following criteria:

• Students must be a national of, or have permanent residence in, mainland China.

• Students must meet the entry requirements for direct entry onto level 2 or level 3 of their intended Undergraduate Programme at the University of Lincoln.

In addition to meeting the above criteria, prospective students must have applied to the University of Lincoln prior to the deadline of Monday 1 June 2026. 

Many of our undergraduate programmes include the opportunity to take part in an industry placement year or study abroad placement year. Students participating in one of these opportunities will not be eligible to receive the China Advanced Entry Undergraduate Scholarship for that particular period.

Scholarship Amount

The China Scholarship is valued at £4,000 - £5,000 and will be awarded to eligible students as a tuition fee discount during the first year of their studies.

What Is the Advance Full Payment Discount?

The University of Lincoln’s Advance Full Payment Discount is designed to support international applicants enrolling onto a Postgraduate Taught Programme at the University in January 2026.

International applicants who meet the eligibility criteria listed below will be eligible to receive a £1,500 reduction in tuition fees.

To be eligible to receive the Advance Full Payment Discount for September 2026 entry, applicants must:

• Have an offer of a place on a full-time International Year 1, Undergraduate, Pre-master's, or Postgraduate Taught Programme commencing at the University of Lincoln in September 2026. If you are intending to study a Postgraduate Taught Programme at the University, you must be completing a full postgraduate qualification (i.e. not entering the course at postgraduate diploma or dissertation level).

• Pay tuition fees for the 2026/27 academic year in full to the University (minus any University of Lincoln scholarship that may have already been awarded and the £1,500 Advance Full Payment Discount) by the set deadline (tbc). Please note that payment must reach the University before midnight on the deadline in order to be eligible. Payment processing times may vary, and it's important that you take this into consideration in order to meet the deadline.

• Complete and submit the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) request form prior to the deadline. Please note that students who do not require a visa to study in the UK are not required to complete the CAS request form.

• Pay tuition fees for the 2026/27 academic year in full to the University (minus any University of Lincoln scholarship that may have already been awarded and the £1,500 Advance Full Payment Discount) by the set deadline (tbc). Please note that payment must reach the University before midnight on the deadline in order to be eligible. September 2026 and January 2027 Entry

The European Union Scholarship is valued at £5,000 and will be awarded to eligible students as a tuition fee discount during the first year of their studies. 

Selection Criteria

In order to be eligible to receive the European Union Scholarship prospective students must meet the following criteria:

• Be a national of, or have permanent residence in, an EU member state country: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, or Sweden.

• Hold a Conditional or Unconditional Offer from the University of Lincoln for a full-time postgraduate taught programme commencing in September 2026 or January 2027.

• Have completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution, and have obtained at least the equivalent of a 2:1 classification or completed a Pre-Master’s degree, or a qualification equivalent to a UK Master’s degree, with a comparable classification as determined by the University.

The Global Leaders Scholarship has been established to recognise international applicants who can demonstrate the highest levels of academic, personal, and extracurricular endeavour. The scholarship is available to international students and is valued at 50% of tuition fees for one year of study.

Eligibility

The Global Leaders Scholarship is competitive and students are required to submit an application form in order to be considered. In order to apply for the scholarship, you must already have an offer of a place at the University of Lincoln for an undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme commencing in the 2025/26 or 2026/27 academic year. Please note that this scholarship is not available to students with home fee status.

Students who are in the process of completing their studies at the time of submitting their scholarship application will need to provide a copy of their most recent academic transcripts as part of their scholarship application. 

For students intending to join an undergraduate programme, the transcripts should evidence high school grades that are equivalent to 128 UCAS points or above. Students intending to join a postgraduate taught programme will need to evidence grades from their undergraduate degree which are equivalent to a 2:1 or higher. 

For a programme of study commencing in January 2026:

• Round 1: Friday 3 October 2025

• Round 2: Friday 7 November 2025 

For a programme of study commencing in September 2026:

• Round 1: Monday 6 April 2026

• Round 2: Monday 1 June 2026

For a programme of study commencing in January 2027:

Global Leaders Scholar Events and Opportunities

Recipients of the Global Leaders Scholarship will receive invitations to attend exclusive events throughout the year, enabling you to connect and network with fellow scholars. There will also be an opportunity to attend a scholarship award ceremony.

Scholarship recipients will also receive an invitation after enrolment to apply to become a University of Lincoln International Student Ambassador. If you are selected to be an International Student Ambassador, you will be expected to play an important role in helping to share what makes Lincoln a fantastic place to live and study.

As an International Student Ambassador, you may be asked to:

• Share your experiences with prospective students, their parents, and members of the public.

• Deliver campus tours to visitors.

• Assist at University Open Days and events.

• Take part in webinars, seminars, panel talks, and Q+A sessions with prospective students.

• Feature in University promotional videos, photographs, and campaigns.

Prior to becoming an International Student Ambassador you will need to complete a Right to Work Check with the University’s Careers and Employability Team.

The International Alumni Scholarship is designed to help international alumni to access postgraduate level study at the University of Lincoln. This scholarship is available for postgraduate taught and postgraduate research programmes commencing in the 2025/26 or 2026/27 academic year. 

January 2026 Entry

The International Alumni Scholarship is valued at £2,000 and will be awarded to eligible students as a tuition fee discount for the first year of a postgraduate taught or postgraduate research programme at the University of Lincoln. 

Selection Criteria

The scholarship will automatically be awarded to students who have already successfully completed a University of Lincoln programme of study.

If you’re eligible to receive the International Alumni Scholarship, you may also be eligible to receive a tuition fee discount of £1,000 - £1,500 through our Advance Full Payment Discount or Early Payment Discount. 

September 2026 and January 2027 Entry

Scholarship Amount

The International Alumni Scholarship is valued at £2,000 and will be awarded to eligible students as a tuition fee discount for the first year of a postgraduate taught programme at the University of Lincoln.

Selection Criteria

The scholarship will automatically be awarded to students who have already successfully completed a University of Lincoln programme of study.

If you’re eligible to receive the International Alumni Scholarship, you may also be eligible to receive a tuition fee discount of £1,000 through our Early Payment Discount.

The University of Lincoln is delighted to offer lnternational Undergraduate Scholarships to eligible applicants joining an undergraduate programme in September 2026.

Scholarship Amount

The International Undergraduate Scholarship is valued at £2,000 and will be awarded to eligible students as a tuition fee discount for each year of their undergraduate programme at the University of Lincoln.

Selection Criteria

To be eligible to receive this scholarship, students must meet the entry requirements for their intended Undergraduate Programme and submit their application to study at Lincoln prior to the deadline of Monday 1 June 2026. 

Many of our undergraduate programmes include the opportunity to take part in an industry placement year or study abroad placement year. Students participating in one of these opportunities will not be eligible to receive the International Undergraduate Scholarship for that particular period.

Advanced entry students from China joining a full-time Undergraduate Programme at the University of Lincoln will not be eligible to receive the International Undergraduate Scholarship. However, may be eligible to receive the China Advanced Entry Undergraduate Scholarship subject to meeting eligibility criteria.

Students joining a Foundation Year or International Year One programme will be entitled to receive the scholarship when they continue to the first/second year of their undergraduate course. 

£1000 will be paid directly to the student for each year of study for each completed academic year of study, with part-time students eligible for a pro-rata payment.

Eligibility

• You will have previously completed an undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification that leads to postgraduate study), Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma at the University of Lincoln, confirmed by a University of Lincoln Board of Examiners.

• You are subject to tuition fees of £9,535 per year for Home or £18,400 for International (pro-rata for part-time studies)

• You will be enrolled on the University’s Student Management System on either the MSc Nursing with Registered Nurse (Adult/Child/Mental Health), MSc Physiotherapy (Pre-registration), MSc Occupational Therapy (Pre-registration), or MSc Speech and Language Therapy (Pre-registration).

• All tuition fees and payments due to the University in relation to any previous study have been paid in full.

The Partner Scholarship has been established to recognise international applicants from higher education providers that have a partnership with the University, who can demonstrate the highest levels of academic, personal, and extracurricular endeavour.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible to receive the Partner Scholarship prospective students must meet the following criteria:

• Have previously studied at an overseas higher education provider which has a partnership with the University of Lincoln.

• Hold a Conditional or Unconditional Offer from the University of Lincoln for a full-time undergraduate programme commencing in September 2026.

• Have obtained a minimum of a 2.1 classification or higher (or its equivalent) in their undergraduate studies. Students who are in the process of finishing their studies at the time of submitting their scholarship application will need to provide a copy of their most recent academic transcript as part of their scholarship application.

The Partner Scholarship is competitive and students are required to submit an application form in order to be considered. In addition to meeting the above academic requirements students must complete a Partner Scholarship Application Form prior to the deadline of Monday 1 June 2026.

The University of Lincoln’s South Asia Scholarship is designed to help students from across Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka to access postgraduate level study at the University of Lincoln. The South Asia Scholarship is offered as a tuition fee discount against the cost of a postgraduate taught programme commencing in the 2025/26 or 2026/27 academic year.

The South Asia Scholarship is valued at £1,000 - £3,000 and will be awarded to eligible students as a tuition fee discount during the first year of their studies. 

Selection Criteria

In order to be eligible to receive the South Asia Scholarship prospective students must meet the following criteria:

• Be a national of, or have permanent residence in, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, or Sri Lanka. 

• Hold a Conditional or Unconditional Offer from the University of Lincoln for a full-time postgraduate taught programme commencing in January 2026.

• £3,000 scholarship will automatically be awarded to students who have:

  • Completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution and have obtained at least the equivalent of a 2:1 classification or

The South Asia Scholarship is valued at £3,000 - £5,000 and will be awarded to eligible students as a tuition fee discount during the first year of their studies. 

Selection Criteria

In order to be eligible to receive the South Asia Scholarship prospective students must meet the following criteria:

• Be a national of, or have permanent residence in, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, or Sri Lanka. 

• Hold a Conditional or Unconditional Offer from the University of Lincoln for a full-time postgraduate taught programme commencing in September 2026 or January 2027.

• £5,000 scholarship will automatically be awarded to students who have:

  • Completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution and have obtained at least the equivalent of a 2:1 classification or

  • Completed a Pre-Master’s degree, or a qualification equivalent to a UK Master’s degree, with a comparable classification as determined by the University.
