There is an airport pickup service from Manchester Airport before the beginning of term. Lancaster University is a well-connected, campus-based university, close to the city of Lancaster in the northwest of England. The campus provides a green, safe and welcoming environment in which to study and live.
With easy access via quiet cycle routes and frequent bus connections, the city of Lancaster provides all the attractions you would expect in a city. As well as restaurants, a cinema, shops, independent outlets and superstores, there are also many tourist attractions, including Williamson Park and the Ashton Memorial. This vibrant and dynamic city is also close to some of England’s most spectacular countryside, with the Lake District National Park, Morecambe Bay, and the Forest of Bowland all close by.
The University and the city are well connected to the rest of the UK and beyond. Manchester International Airport is 75 minutes from Lancaster by train, London is 2.5 hours and Glasgow is two hours.
