Scholarships at University of Bath

Awarded on the basis of academic excellence, the Deans Award for Academic Excellence Scholarship aims to reward students with strong academic credentials and a demonstrable background of achievement and success.

Funding available

Each of the Faculties will award eight scholarships worth £5,000. The awards are available for full-time taught master's courses and can only be used as fee waivers towards the cost of tuition fees.

• 8 x £5,000 scholarships available in the Faculty of Engineering & Design.

• 8 x £5,000 scholarships available in the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences.

• 8 x £5,000 scholarships available in the Faculty of Science.

Eligibility criteria

To apply, you must hold an offer from the University of Bath for a full-time taught master's course starting in 2025. The course must be based in the Faculty of Engineering & Design, Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences or Faculty of Science.

Application deadlines

• apply by 5 February 2025 for a decision by 28 February 2025.

• apply by 7 April 2025 for a decision by 9 May 2025.

• apply by 11 June 2025 for a decision by 11 July 2025.

Global Leaders Scholarships are worth £5,000 to help you fund your studies.

The Global Leaders Scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic excellence, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and future leadership potential. Applicants should demonstrate excellent team working skills and have a strong vision for the future.

Funding available

There are a number of £5,000 scholarships available across the:

• Faculty of Engineering & Design.

• Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences.

• Faculty of Science.

The awards are available for full-time taught master's courses and can only be used as fee waivers towards the cost of tuition fees.

Eligibility criteria

To apply, you must hold an offer from the University of Bath for a full-time taught master's course starting in 2025. The course must be based in the:

• Faculty of Engineering & Design

• Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences

• Faculty of Science

This scholarship is open to applicants of all nationalities (UK and International applicants).

Application deadlines

• apply by 5 February 2025 for a decision by 28 February 2025.

• apply by 7 April 2025 for a decision by 9 May 2025.

• apply by 11 June 2025 for a decision by 11 July 2025.

Up to ten scholarships worth £10,000 each towards successful applicants' tuition fees. To be considered for one of these scholarships you must:

• meet the eligibility criteria.

• have studied your undergraduate degree and live in one of the named countries at the time of application.

Eligibility

If you wish to be considered for one the School of Management Taught Postgraduate full-time Master's Scholarships, you must have:

• received an offer to study one of our Taught Postgraduate Master’s courses in the School of Management for the entry year 2025/26.

• accepted your offer.

• paid your deposit within the four-week deadline as stated on your offer letter or by the scholarship decision date, whichever is earlier.

• applied for a scholarship within one of the scholarship application deadlines.

Deadlines

• Apply by 5 February 2025 for a decision by 28 February 2025.

• Apply by 7 April 2025 for a decision by 9 May 2025.

Up to 16 scholarships worth £15,000 each towards successful applicants' tuition fees. To be considered for one of these scholarships you must:

• meet the eligibility criteria.

• have studied your undergraduate degree and live in one of the named countries at the time of application.

If you wish to be considered for one the School of Management Taught Postgraduate full-time Master's Scholarships, you must have:

• received an offer to study one of our Taught Postgraduate Master’s courses in the School of Management for the entry year 2025/26.

• accepted your offer.

If you're a graduate of nominated Hong Kong universities, and an international fee-paying offer-holder, you may be eligible for this scholarship.

About the award

Sir Jack Cater was awarded an Honorary Degree from the University of Bath in 1995.

He was the founding head of Hong Kong's Independent Commission Against Corruption, and went on to become Hong Kong's Chief Secretary, Acting Governor and Commissioner in London.

This scholarship is awarded on behalf of his family and the Parthenon Trust to students of nominated Hong Kong universities.

Funding available

1 x £3,000 scholarship is available for full-time, postgraduate taught master's courses across the Faculty of Engineering & Design, Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, Faculty of Science and School of Management.

Eligibility criteria

You can apply for this scholarship if you are a graduate of Hong Kong University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) or Hong Kong Baptist University and:

• have a confirmed offer to study a full-time taught postgraduate master's course at the University of Bath for 2025.

• have firmly accepted your conditional or unconditional offer.
