Scholarships at Nottingham Trent University

We have a range of country and school scholarships available to Undergraduate (Bachelors) and Postgraduate (Masters) students. These scholarship are competitive and will be awarded based on the strength of your application.

Undergraduate (Bachelors)

• Korea Scholarship: £5,000 for the first year of study.

• Sri Lanka Scholarship: £4,000 for each year of study, excluding any placement years.

• Taiwan Scholarship: £5,000 for the first year of study.

• Taiwan STEM Scholarship: 50% of tuition fee for the first year of study.

• USA Excellence Scholarship: 25% or 50% of tuition fee, plus £3,000 for each subsequent year of your course excluding any placement years.

Postgraduate (Masters)

• Ghana Law School Scholarship: 50% of tuition fee

• LLM Scholarships (Vietnam, South Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa): 50% of tuition fee

• Postgraduate Scholarships for Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Latin America and Caribbean, Myanmar, Malaysia, Philippines, Serbia, Turkey: £4,000

• Postgraduate Scholarship for Europe, Korea, Pakistan, Vietnam. Taiwan: £5,000

• Taiwan STEM Scholarship: 50% of tuition fee

• Women in Computer Science: 50% of tuition fee

The GREAT Scholarship programme is a joint initiative by the British Council and the UK Government. We are delighted to offer one competitive scholarship of £10,000 to students from select countries.

• Canada Law High Achievers Award: £3,000

• China Star Scholarship: £3,000 for the first year of study

Postgraduate (Masters)

• Bangladesh High Achievers Award: £3,000

• China Star Scholarship: £3,000

• India Prestigious University Award: Up to £4,000

• Sri Lanka High Achievers Award: £3,000

• Sub-Saharan Africa High Achievers Award: £3,000

• Thailand High Achievers Award: £4,000

Our NTU Excellence Scholarships are competitive and will be awarded based on the strength of your application.

Undergraduate (Bachelors)

• 50% or 25% off your first year tuition fees, plus 3,000 for each subsequent year of your course.

Postgraduate (Masters)

• 50% or 25% off your first year tuition fees.

For example if your tuition fee was £21,600 and you were awarded a 50% scholarship, your new tuition fee would be £10,800.

An NTU Music Scholarship provides you with the opportunity to develop your vocal or instrumental skills with one of our expert tutors, alongside your academic studies.

We offer tuition for voice, piano, strings, brass, guitar, bass, percussion, drums, and woodwind.

Our scholarships are of varying lengths. We may award music tuition for a number of months, a full academic year, or up to the length of your course. Successful candidates are expected to join at least one of NTU's ensembles and show full commitment to this and their music tuition.

Who can apply?

You can apply for a scholarship as a current or prospective student.

Current students

You are eligible to apply for a scholarship if:

• You are enrolled on an NTU undergraduate or postgraduate degree course

• You are a Grade 6 or 7 standard vocalist; or a Grade 7 or 8 standard instrumentalist

You don't need to have taken and passed exams, but your audition performance should demonstrate that you are singing or playing to this level.

Prospective students

You can apply for one of our music scholarships if you have received or firmly accepted an offer to join an NTU undergraduate or postgraduate degree course starting in September or January 2026.

You are eligible to apply for a scholarship if:

• You  have an offer to study on an NTU undergraduate or postgraduate degree course

• You are a Grade 6 or 7 standard vocalist; or a Grade 7 or 8 standard instrumentalist

You don't need to have taken and passed exams, but your audition performance should demonstrate that you are singing or playing to this level.
