Overview

Opened by Her Majesty the Queen in 1996, the Brayford Pool Campus at Lincoln provides a student-centred environment with more than £350million invested in facilities over the past two decades.

The University of Lincoln was rated 7th in the UK for overall student satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2018 (out of 127 institutions) and in the top 20 for student experience in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019. It was rated 17th in The Guardian University Guide 2020 and also gained a Gold Award in the national Teaching Excellence Framework 2017 - the highest standard possible.


Ranking

Ninety six per cent of Lincoln's most recent graduates were in work or further study six months after finishing their course with more than 80 per cent in graduate level roles [Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education Survey 2016/17, published July 2018].

Lincoln is a top 50 UK university, ranked 17th in the UK (out of 121) in The Guardian University Guide 2020 and 43rd (out of 131) in The Complete University Guide 2019, with top 10 ranks at subject level for several of its courses.

The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019 places Lincoln at 42nd (out of 132). Students rated the University of Lincoln in 7th in the UK for overall student satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2018 [=7th in Times Higher Education analysis] with several of courses rated number one overall for their subject areas.

Lincoln also placed in the top 20 for student experience in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019 and ranked 23rd out of 116 institutions in the 2018 Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey, which canvasses students’ opinions about their experience at University.
