Management courses in the UK

Introduction to Management

A management degree examines the theory and practice of management, including economics, business, human resources and ethics, in a national and international context. Graduates will have strong skills in managing and leading other people and company resources, as well as a sound knowledge of economics and business. Management degrees are commonly taken alongside another subject, like languages, business or economics, to further strengthen employability in a certain field or business sector.

After graduating, management students go into a wide variety of jobs and sectors, like marketing, sales, finance, retail or even self-employment and entrepreneurship. It is a very flexible degree, and further enhanced by the many joint honours available. While places at the top universities are competitive, graduates from the most prestigious courses are sought after, and many universities provide good employability rates and starting salaries.
