The research and innovation  of the College of Science and Engineering seeps into our teaching and students receive cutting edge education allied to top industry and industry and societal needs. We recognise our responsibility to champion sustainability, and this is driven from our college. Our community of scientists and engineers are critical providers of solutions for a more sustainable future, and through our teaching and research activities, we will develop the next generation of science and engineering graduates as future sustainability leaders.

• We are home to: the Irish Centre for High-End computing and the Data Science Institute which both relate to computer Science, the Ryan Institute which centres around sustainability, Curam which centres on medical devices and Bioinnovate which centres around innovation also in the med-tech sector.
• Further innovation is evidenced by the development of 13 spin-out companies and 45 patents since 2016
