St George’s Hospital Medical School was established in 1733 and initially based at Hyde Park Corner, before moving to our Tooting site in 1980. It was the second institution in England to provide formal training courses for doctors. St George’s has a dynamic research culture, with teams working to improve the health of people of all ages, from children to the elderly, in populations locally and globally. They are the only UK university based in a hospital (St George’s Hospital) and is the only university in the UK to specialise in healthcare and medicine.
St George's offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate science courses which will equip students with the knowledge and skills to prepare them for their career.
