Scholarships at Brunel Business School

Our Brunel Graduate Discount offers a 15% fee reduction for all Brunel alumni across our postgraduate taught and postgraduate research courses.
Students who are alumni of Brunel University of London will automatically qualify for our Graduate Discount when they progress to study a postgraduate course.

Award details

The Brunel Graduate Discount is available for self-funding applicants who have previously studied at Brunel University of London and Graduated (achieved their intended award), who register for any subsequent degree programme. 

Value: 15% discount on the net tuition fee (i.e. the tuition fee after the application of any scholarship or bursary fee waivers) for every year of study.

Eligibility

The discount will be awarded to those applicants who are:

• Registering on a further undergraduate programme, postgraduate taught programme, a doctoral or postgraduate research programme, online programme delivered by a third party, the PGCE programme and the Graduate Diploma in Law (CPE).

• Considered 'self-funded' - eligible students, who are attending University on a self-funding basis and are responsible for paying their own tuition fees in full. Students, who are funding their studies with an SLC Postgraduate Master’s Loan or a scholarship/bursary fee waiver are considered self-funding for the purpose of this discount. 

Those not eligible for this discount:

• Applicants NOT classed as 'self-funded' - students whose tuition fees are paid by a third party, either partially or in full, are not usually eligible for the graduate discount.

• Applicants who have been awarded one of the following awards:

• The Postgraduate International Bursary;

• The Vice Chancellor's Excellence Award.

The Brunel University of London Undergraduate International Bursary offers a £3,000 fee reduction for self-funded international students across our undergraduate courses.

To be considered applicants need to hold an offer of a place to study on an undergraduate course starting in September 2025. Awards will be made until the end of August 2025.

Who is eligible?

To be considered, here’s what you will need:

• You must have an offer to study on one of our undergraduate courses (including placement routes and undergraduate integrated Masters programmes but excluding Foundation and Integrated Foundation courses starting in September 2025.

• Pay your £5,000 course deposit by 30 August 2025.

The Brunel Business School (BBS) are offering a number of prestigious scholarships for UK and overseas (including EU) applicants joining the Brunel MBA in September 2025 and January 2026 of the 2025/26 academic year.

Brunel Pathway College (BPC) and Brunel Language Centre (BLC) students can apply for this scholarship after successful completion of their pre-masters’ course. There are only a limited number of scholarships available each year, and the application procedure is quite competitive.

Successful awardees may be expected to undertake specified duties as Brunel Ambassadors for the Brunel Business School (BBS). Activities might involve representing the MBA programme at internal and external marketing and recruitment events, providing guest talks and seminars to undergraduate/postgraduate students, providing reports on each event and writing a Brunel MBA Blog and/or other initiatives as appropriate. In addition, awardees will also be expected to assume mentoring responsibilities as required by BBS. Scholarship winners will be contacted by the MBA or Marketing team as and when participation is required.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a Brunel MBA Scholarship an applicant must:

• Apply and fulfil the entry criteria for admission to the Brunel full-time or part-time MBA programme. Awards will be only made to the candidates holding an offer of a place on the MBA programme.

• Be in receipt of an offer to study on a full-time or part-time MBA programme starting in September 2025 or January 2026.

• Recipients of the MBA Distinguished International Scholarship must:

  • The scholarship will be awarded to international students with a distinguished academic and/or professional track record. In the application form, applicants must explain their qualifying achievements.

• Part Time MBA only scholarship:

• (a) The part time MBA scheme is only open to Home fee paying applicants based on the UK government regulations. This includes successful applicants with relevant valid UK resident status or on a valid visa for the expected programme duration, upon enrolment. The applicant will be asked to provide evidence of this where it is not clear. Applicants who are unsure of their fee status should note Brunel uses the information they have provided in their application form to assess fee status against regulations set by the UK government.

• (b) For the purpose of the MBA scholarship an organisation which is controlled by a national, state or provincial/local government authority, it will be considered as a public sector entity. The corporate sector is the part of a country's economic system that is run by individuals and/or companies, rather than by the government. In addition, part time MBA applicants are required to submit documentary evidence of their work experience during their application, the applicants should provide confirmation letters from the employers. The employer's letter will need to exhibit the nature and kind of the organisation that the applicant works for. The public/private sector differentiation and the value of the award will be calculated accordingly.

Those not eligible for this Scholarship

• Applicants who will not commence their course in the upcoming academic year - applicants holding offers for deferred entry will be considered for a scholarship in the year they start their course and not in the year of their course application.

Award details

The Postgraduate Academic Excellence scholarship is available for students on Postgraduate Taught (PGT) courses at Brunel University of London who are self-funding their studies, paying Home fees and have obtained a First-Class undergraduate degree;

• from a UK University, either in the UK or at an overseas campus or

• obtained the equivalent of a UK First Class degree from an EU institution

Additionally, graduates of Brunel University of London will receive the Graduate Discount of 15% off the final tuition fee amount due (after any the scholarship award has been applied). On the basis that they register on a taught postgraduate programme on a fully self-funding basis.

Value: A discount of 15% off the tuition fees, per year.

Eligibility

The Scholarship will be awarded to all full time, part time, distance learning and online learning students who meet all the following criteria:

• Have an unconditional offer to study a taught Master’s programme at Brunel University of London, this includes the MBA and Mres programmes.

• Is a Home fee paying student holding an offer on a course starting in 2025/26, (applicants classed as Overseas for fee purposes are not eligible).

• Have achieved a First Class honours degree from a UK University or an EU University:

  •  For a UK degree: the award must be from a UK University, the student does not have to have attended a UK based campus.

  • An honours degree awarded with distinction is acceptable where no first class classification exists.

  • Holding a higher degree, without having achieved a First Class classification at undergraduate level does not qualify for receipt of this award.

  • For an EU equivalent the award must be from a recognised EU institution and be the equivalent of a First-class honours degree, as listed in appendix 1.

• Are attending the University on a self-funding basis and are responsible for paying their own tuition fees in full. Students, who are funding their studies with a SLC Postgraduate Master’s Loan or a scholarship/bursary fee waiver are considered self-funding for the purpose of this Scholarship.

To be awarded a Vice-Chancellor’s Postgraduate International Excellence Award for September you will need to meet all the conditions by the advisory deadline 30 August 2025.  

Applicants applying for entry in January 2026 will need to meet all the conditions by the advisory deadline 28 November 2025.
