The Ravi Ray Scholarship in Undergraduate Medicine helps alleviate financial concerns for students from disadvantaged backgrounds who demonstrate outstanding potential to make a difference in the world. Each year, the scholarship will provide funding towards one Medicine scholar’s tuition fees or living costs for the final three years of their programme. The selected scholar will receive £3,000 annually towards tuition fees for Years 3, 4 and towards living costs for Year 5 (or an intercalated year) of their degree.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a scholarship you must:

Have made an application for a postgraduate Master’s course, either full-time or part-time study, by the deadlines stated above

Not already be qualified at a Master’s level or above (e.g. PhD)

Be self-funding your course fees or in receipt of a tuition fee loan (courses funded by the NHS or students receiving employer or sponsor funding are not eligible)

Have, or be predicted, a 2:1 or above or international equivalent
