The University of Suffolk Vice-Chancellor’s Global Impact Scholarship (2023/4) is designed to attract and reward exceptional international applicants of the University of Suffolk who have a strong track record of academic achievement, show commitment to their future studies at the University and illustrate the impact they will have on communities both locally and internationally upon graduation.

The University of Suffolk will be awarding fifty (50) Vice-Chancellor’s Global Impact Scholarships of £4,000 value each in the 2023/4 academic year. Undergraduate applicants will be awarded the scholarship for the duration of their undergraduate studies. 25 awards will be awarded to undergraduate applicants and 25 awards to postgraduate-taught applicants.

Scholarships will be made available as a reduction to the tuition fee that is payable upon enrolment at the University. Payment cannot be offset against a CAS deposit (if one is required).

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Vice-Chancellor’s Global Impact Scholarship (2023/4), applicants must:

  • Have received a conditional or unconditional offer for a 360-credit undergraduate or 180-credit postgraduate-taught programme delivered by the University of Suffolk at the Ipswich campus.

  •  Be studying on a full-time basis.

  •  Have applied to commence studies in the 2023/4 academic year.

  •  Be self-funding and classified as overseas for fee purposes.

  •  Have applied for the Vice-Chancellor’s Global Impact Scholarship (2023/4) prior to the scholarship application deadline (see below).

Notes and Exclusions

  •  Scholarships are awarded as fee discounts only and have no cash value.

  • Undergraduate students will be awarded the scholarship in each year of study (excluding sandwich years) provided they remain on their original programme of study.

  • Students studying a one-year full-time Postgraduate-Taught programme will have the discount reflected in their initial invoice.

  •  Students studying a two-year full-time Postgraduate-Taught programme will have the discount applied across both years of study i.e., £2,000 in Year 1 and £2,000 in Year 2.

  • MBA candidates are ineligible for this scholarship (see Suffolk Executive MBA (SEMBA) Scholarship).

  •  Postgraduate research (PhD/MPhil) students are ineligible for this scholarship (see PhD Scholarships).

  •  Students paying tuition fees at the UK/Home-rate are ineligible for this scholarship.

  •  Applicants with a conditional offer who are awarded a scholarship but then fail to meet the conditions of their offer will have their scholarship offer rescinded.

  •  Scholarship offers cannot be deferred to another intake.

  • Only applicants to undergraduate and postgraduate-taught degrees that are fully taught by University of Suffolk staff at the Ipswich campus are eligible for this scholarship.

  • University of Suffolk Alumni are ineligible for this scholarship. Alumni should refer to the Alumni Postgraduate Loyalty Scheme.

  • This scholarship cannot be used in conjunction with any other scholarships or discounts offered by the University of Suffolk.
