Swansea International Pharmacy Scholarship (SIPS)
Scholarship Name Swansea International Pharmacy Scholarship (SIPS)
Academic Year 2022
Scholarship amount £2,000
Nationality Any

We are delighted to be able to offer all International students applying to study Pharmacy (MPharm) with us a £2,000 per year fee reduction.

Eligibility, terms and conditions:

  1. Students must be classified as overseas students for fee purposes. If the fee status of the Student changes after the scholarship has been awarded, then the University will withdraw the scholarship.

  2. Students must be self-funded i.e. not be in receipt of any sponsorship funding from their home country / sponsor body, or any other external third party organisation. If any funding is confirmed after the scholarship is awarded, then the University reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship.

  3. Students must be enrolling onto their first year (Year 1) of the MPharm (Hons) Pharmacy degree at Swansea University in academic years 2021/2022, 2022/23 or 2023/24. This is the ONLY degree to which the scholarship applies.

  4. The scholarship of £2,000 per annum will be applied as a discount off tuition fees for each of the four years of study in which a student is registered, up to a maximum of £8000. Students resitting a year will not receive a bursary for that resit year.

  5. Students in receipt of SIPS, may still apply for other scholarships or bursaries offered by the University or externally (subject to any cap) and SIPS will be given irrespective of other awards that are received. The Student acknowledges that it is their responsibility to check and confirm that the terms and conditions of any other awards can be given and accepted alongside SIPS. The University reserves the right to, and will, withdraw any additional University scholarships which have been awarded in error, and/or where circumstances have changed.

  6. If it is deemed necessary for a Student to suspend their studies, the remaining scholarship funding, for the academic year, will be held on university account and carried forward to the year of resumption of studies.

  7. Swansea University Alumni are eligible to apply.

  8. Scholarships will be used to offset tuition fees only and cannot be used for any other purpose.

  9. The scholarship will be applied to the course fees for the academic year stated in the post-offer letter. If an offer for a course is deferred, the scholarship will be deferred, as long as the student starts in 22/23 or 23/24. The academic year 23/24 is the last year that SIPS will be available.

  10. Students will have their tuition fee levied at enrolment and must accept an offer of a place on a course and pay their deposit.

  11. A Scholarship may also be withdrawn on grounds of failure to comply with any of the conditions attached to the Award. If the scholar feels that such a withdrawal is unjustified, they may appeal in writing to the Head of Pharmacy within 15 working days of the date of notification.

  12. The Department of Pharmacy reserves the right to make, amend, withdraw, suspend or cancel without notice these and such other regulations as may be in force from time to time and such decisions shall be final.

Breckett Front   My counsellor contacted me every day throughout the application process and helped me receive an unconditional offer. I am so grateful to SI-UK and will never forget them. I will study very hard as I feel this is the best reward I can give the whole team.  Breckett Front
