Scholarships valued between €3000 to €5000 each, applied as a reduction to the tuition fees for the Global Business (Bachelor in Business Studies) for the first year only.

Scholarships valued at up to 5000 euro each, applied as a reduction to the tuition fees of a full-time undergraduate programme for the first year of study only.

There are several scholarships available in the following areas: Full-time undergraduate programmes (except Medicine, Dentistry and Acting).

Scholarships valued between €2000 to €5000 each, applied as a reduction to the tuition fees of a full-time postgraduate programme for the first year of study only.

There are several scholarships available in the following areas: Full-time taught postgraduate programmes (applicants to the School of Business should apply to the School of Business Scholarship.)

Students in the Senior Freshman (second) year may compete for a foundation scholarship, which will go into effect at the start of the student's third year. Up to ninety foundation scholars are elected annually on the basis of performance in the scholarship examination, which is usually held in the week before the start of the second term.

Foundation scholars are entitled to a range of privileges, as detailed in the Emoluments and Privileges section of the College Calendar.

In addition to the tangible benefits held by Scholars, these scholarships are highly prestigious, conferring a lifelong status within the College. Successful candidates, those achieving an overall first class result in the examination for scholarship, are elected by the Board on Trinity Monday, which marks the beginning of the annual Trinity Week when the community celebrates high standards of achievement among students and staff. 

The Trinity College Dublin Study Abroad Excellence Scholarship is awarded to a semester or full year undergraduate study abroad student who demonstrates academic excellence in their area of study and conveys how study abroad at Trinity will aid them in achieving their academic and personal goals.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the scholarship, students must:

• Apply to Trinity as an undergraduate study abroad student, i.e. apply to join Trinity for a single semester or year for transfer credit from their home university in a non-EU country.

• Applicants must apply for admission to study abroad at Trinity via the link here. Please note that Scholarship students must meet all minimum entry requirements, including the minimum GPA of 3.3.

• Submit a complete scholarship application, per guidelines below, by the relevant deadline.

Terms and Conditions of Scholarship 

Awardees will need to be enrolled in at least 25 ECTS at Trinity on arrival. They will need to open an Irish bank account in order to receive the scholarship and will be required to fill out a release form in order for the scholarship to be transferred. The form stipulates that the scholarship should be used towards tuition, room, board or travel expenses.

Awardees will be required to submit a one-page statement at the end of term describing their experience abroad, including how the scholarship benefited their time at Trinity. The statement may be used for Trinity’s World of Trinity student blog, and/or testimonials and marketing materials.

Deadline

April 15 for Michaelmas Term and Academic Year Study Abroad, and October 15 for Hilary Term Study Abroad.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the scholarship, students must:

• Apply to Trinity as an undergraduate study abroad student, i.e. apply to Trinity for a single semester or year for transfer credit from their home university in a non-EU country.

• They must be declared majors in a STEM subject at their home university and must enrol in a minimum of 10 ECTS in STEM modules at Trinity.

• Applicants must apply for admission to study abroad at Trinity via the link here. Please note that Scholarship students must meet the minimum entry requirements, noting especially the minimum GPA of 3.3.

• Submit a complete scholarship application, per guidelines below, by the relevant deadline.

Only applicants that have received a conditional or unconditional offer for a Masters or Postgraduate Diploma programme at Trinity Business School are eligible for one of our partial scholarships.

Trinity Business School offer scholarship funding to applicants, up to €10,000 per student. We recognize that undertaking a masters degree is one of the biggest decisions you will make, and we believe in rewarding the talents and achievements of our students. Scholarships are provided in recognition of academic excellence, diversity in experience and background, as well as those who demonstrate our values, both inside and outside the classroom.

The scholarships are awarded as part of the standard applications process, normally at the same time as an offer is made. Most of the scholarships are granted on a rolling basis, so candidates who apply early may have a stronger chance. An additional scholarship application not required.

Please note: only students coming to Trinity for a full year (two semesters) are qualified to apply to this scholarship.
